Junko is absolutely the best. I do one on one Pilates with her and she is beyond being a great trainer. She is a diagnostician and healer. She understands how the muscles and joints work and I am amazed at how she finds exactly the right exercise to heal a crunchy shoulder or an achy hip. I am stronger and more flexible than I have been in more years than I care to admit (okay, 25) and healthier. The best!!

Addie at SF Pilates did a spectacular job of firming up my ""core"", and getting me to be mindful of how I carry my own weight. Since her treatments, I've been free of what had been regularly recurring lower back pain due to an injury. The studio is well-equipped and a peaceful place for a Pilates session.
I have worked with Jesse (1:1) and Addie (group mat class), and they are both absolutely professional, knowledgeable, personable, and fun to work with. I just started a week ago but I have to say, as someone who has been putting the gym off for years, there is something so motivating about San Francisco Pilates. I actually look forward to going! I've been working with Jesse for about a year and a half, and in that time she's really helped me manage the Chondromalacia in both my knees. When I first started seeing her, a ""bad knee day"" was when I didn't want to get out of bed because of the pain. Now, ""bad knee days"" are when my knees feel a little inflamed after a six-mile hike; they are few and far between.
Addie's personalized pilates program yielded stunningly fast results after just a couple of sessions. My husband couldn't have been more pleased with my strengthened transversus muscle! She invested thoughtful and loving energy into a personalized program that challenged me enough to get a wonderful endorphine rush, but not so much that I ever felt discouraged. I was always so surprised when the session was over - time just flew by while in her knowledgeable, gentle care.
I have been working with Jesse, the owner of San Francisco Pilates, for 8 months now. I have seen an amazing change in my body. She is very patient and her expertise is amazing. I love working out here so much more than just going to a gym!!
