Excellent Photographer! We were so fortunate to have Joseph as our photographer for our small SF City Hall wedding. He's such a pro and so familiar with the venue (the people working there know him!) that it was almost like having a wedding planner and photographer in one. He made sure we were in the right place at the right time. He helped calm our nerves and made us feel at ease. As a photographer he's truly an artist. We wanted some fun pictures as well as traditional ones and he gave us all that. The photographs are absolutely beautiful and the wedding album he created was far beyond our expectations. We couldn't be happier and would add five more stars to this rating if it were possible. Thank you so much Joseph, for so beautifully capturing one of the most wonderful days of my life.

IQ Photo is truly wonderful. The photos Joseph took of our wedding at city hall were absolutely beautiful and we are so happy that we chose him as our photographer. He was very easy going and made us feel comfortable, so the photos were natural and really captured US. Many people thought we had hired a friend, as the pictures looked like the photographer really knew us. Joseph is extremely talented and professional and we would definitely recommend him to anyone getting married at city hall.

We were lucky to have Joseph take pictures of our wedding ceremony at the City Hall. He is such a professional when it comes to photography. He knows what angles will capture the best mood and beauty of city hall. His passion for photography came out by the way he directed us to different poses and areas within City Hall. Later on he did the same by taking us to a great spot in the city and captured beautiful pictures. Extremely courteous and helpful. I can recommend him again and again.

We chose IQ Photo after a long research, and we absolutely love the pictures Joseph took! We got married at the city hall on a rainy day and I was a little worried by not having good lighting for outdoor pictures. The pictures turned out beautiful and Joseph really captured the moments that are so natural even though my husband and I are very camera shy. Also, Joseph knows all the secret spots in the city hall that will make gorgeous pictures. I'm so glad that I found IQ Photo, the money spent was worth every penny. Thank you, Joseph! The pictures are priceless!

Joseph/IQPHOTO is AMAZING! We got married at SF City Hall on 12/08/2010, and hired Joseph to take our pictures. After reading all his reviews and looking at his portfolios online we were stuck on his site!ALL BREATHTAKING! Joseph has an incredible eye! I warned him that we would need alot of direction when it comes to pictures...and he was able to make it fun and memorable. We took pictures in the ""snow"" right outside the building that day! Although the day of our ceremony was the first time we have ever met him...right when he got the pictures started and said ""ahhh yes, I have a plan for you..."" I KNEW he was gonna be good. We've received so many compliments on our photos...I think the photos of your wedding is the most important, trust IQPHOTO to get the BEST pictures imaginable. He turned my very simple civil ceremony into a slideshow of pictures that look like i rented out the whole SF CITY HALL just for us! I plan on booking another photo shoot every anniversary! =)

Ahhhh yes! Joseph and IQ Photography... What words can be expressed when you are trying to pick a photographer for your big day? How do you do it, what things do you look for in a photographer??... Well, the answer lies in Joseph Kohn. If you want an idea of what he is able to accomplish with your wedding (no matter where you do it, we chose San Francisco City Hall) go to his website, (They wont let me put it in the review, so google ""iqphoto"") You will not be able to find a better photographer, who is super easy to get along with, very reasonable rates, and the ability to make your wedding look like it belongs in a book titled, ""The Art of Weddings"", with your picture on the cover. Seriously, we were doing our pictures, and the first thing you notice about him is that you don't notice him. We had over 400 pictures taken and my wife and I had a reaction to them that embodied, ""Where was he when he took that?, How did he get that picture?"" Joseph is amazing, he will dance around you, your family, and come out with those ""million dollar shots"". When we were perusing the pictures, we both commented how it had a feel like we belonged in a movie, f*#@&ing amazing!!! If you have found your way to this page and you are reading this review, just call him, email him, and get Joseph to photograph your wedding. You can not, CAN NOT, go wrong with him. Check out his website, go, do it... After looking at it you will realize he is the only person you want touching a camera at your wedding (sorry grandma!!), So stop reading this, email him, be amazed at his website, then hire him... no regrets fellow weddingers, no regrets... If anyone wants to contact me, feel free, through email, to hit me up if you have any questions, V/r, Tim (tcauwels01@gmail)

Trusting a complete stranger to photograph your wedding day is a giant leap of faith. That's why you have to do your research.
My wife handled all of the research for our wedding photographer and thank goodness she found Joseph and IQ Photography (and IQ Videography).
When we recently got married at City Hall (12th Nov), Joseph could not have delivered more for us.
From his knowledge of the location, to the way he framed the shots, to his interaction with our families and friends, he kept things fun whilst moving along at a pace and no-one became 'tired' of the photographer!
He knew exactly how to get the best from the City Hall location (which was just perfect) and also from every other location he photographed us (they actually took us from City Hall to the marina to our evening reception at The Waterbar)!
Technically, he knows how to capture really amazing imagery and we have some truly fantastic memories from our day.
We received our photos back via the website, very, very quickly and we are both delighted with them.
Every question we have had, has been answered very promptly and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer.
Yes - he was THAT good.
Thank you Joseph!

My husband and I just got married on November 18, 2010 at City Hall in San Francisco and it was because of Joseph and Alex that we chose that venue. Our wedding was originally booked at a beautiful golf club in Granite Bay, however I happened to fall upon some photographs taken by Joseph at City Hall and I absolutely fell in LOVE. I immediately reviewed his website which included a sample video by Alex and I was SOLD. I cancelled my contract with the golf club, even having to forfeit our $400 deposit, but it was so worth it.
Joseph and Alex were always very quick to respond to my emails (and I sent several!!). When we met Joseph for the first time (we also hired him for our engagement photo session), my fiancé and I were 30 minutes late because of getting lost but Joseph was patient and understanding. And regardless of being late and extremely nervous, Joseph really knew how to ease the tension and help us relax and enjoy the session.
I was impressed how quickly we had the photos back and OMG they were amazing!!! Then came our wedding 4 months later and we were late again (my fault for leaving my Driver's License back at the hotel), but again, Joseph and Alex were patient and understanding. They were right there for our arrival as we exited our limo and made us feel like a couple of celebrities. My entire group of family and friends commented on how nice and professional (and funny!) they both were. When it came to the end of our session, they even went out of their way to drop us off at the restaurant where our guests were waiting.
Get this - my wedding was on a Thursday and my photos were ready by Sunday - AMAZING! I could not have asked for a better service; not to mention, my photos are GORGEOUS!! My friends and family have all said the same thing, ""Your pictures look like they came out of a magazine!"" And it's true, they really do!! :)

My husband and I got married (eloped) on October 18, 2010 at the San Francisco City Hall. I am so thankful that the weather on our wedding day was great. But I am even more thankful that I found Joseph on Yelp.
I love taking pictures because I believe pictures can keep all precious memories alive =) I am from Hong Kong and I don't know any good photographers here. Many friends of mine have got married recently in HK and I loved all their wedding pics taken in HK. Before I met Joseph, I thought I couldn't find any photographers in the US who could be as good as those in HK. BUT I was totally wrong. AND I am so happy that Joseph helped my husband and me on our wedding day!!!
In the following, I am going to tell how professioanl Joseph is:
Before our wedding: Joseph responded quick. Joseph and I communicated via emails and phone calls. He responded to my emails and calls quickly. And I can tell he is a good father too: I called him at about 8pm one night but he whispered softly on the phone and told me it was the time for his baby boy to go to bed. So I ended the call and he called me back later =)
On our wedding day: Joseph was professional. Once my husband and I arrived at the City Hall, he started to suggest where we should have our ceremony and led us there. I didn't know how to pin the boutonniere on my husband's lapel. Joseph was so kind to help me pin it on his lapel > ^

First off I just want to say that your work is phenomenon! I couldn't believe how beautiful the pictures turned out. I was afraid that my photos wouldn't turn out as nice as the ones you had posted on your website, but it came out above and beyond what I expected. Everybody loved the pictures and thought they belonged in a magazine ad. And its not just because we had a wedding at the San Francisco City Hall. The slideshow was a work of art. We had chills just watching it because the images told a story that was very touching, everything was perfect and beautiful. We couldn't even believe that was us in the photos. You did such a wonderful job, and your pictures shows that you're a creative and artistic photographer. I would definitely recommend you to any future weddings. You were worth every penny!! Michael and I are extremely happy we chose you to take our wedding photos. Thank you so much!!
