General Info
I teach individuals and small groups to learn what they need to, based on their goals and learning styles. My expertise includes standardized test prep, speed-reading, study and learning skills, and writing and grammar improvement. All tutoring is personalized, with programs ranging from 6 hours to ongoing; all include custom guides that I have written and the best available books and materials. To determine clients strengths, weaknesses and priorities, I provide self-assessments on test prep, reading, and writing skills; questionnaires on learning styles and intelligences; and diagnostic tests on study skills, grammar, and reading speed and comprehension. All programs can include anxiety reduction, concentration improvement, and nutritional preparation. I love the work that I have done for 25+ years as an Assistant Professor of English at Skyline College, as a workshop leader at Gonzaga, Stanford and De Anza, and as the founder of Prince Learning tutoring service. I graduated from U.C. Berkeley in psychology and did graduate work in philosophy at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. I have Language Arts and Reading credentials from the San Mateo and the San Francisco Community College Districts. Discounts are available for programs of 6 hours, with greater discounts for programs of 12 or more hours. I offer great scheduling flexibility. Please contact me by phone or email if you have any questions or to register for tutoring programs. Visit www.princelearning.com for more information.
