Joe's Crab Shack

I have been to Joe's Crab Shack in other states and have always enjoyed the food BUT not here in San Francisco...it was the worst crab I have ever had to pay $30.00 bucks for! I ordered the BBQ Dungeness carb and it did not taste anything like I recall from the other Joe's Crab Shacks I have been to. I'm thinking the Dungeness crab here would be great because it is right in the dungeness crabs backyard...was I wrong, Joe sure do know how to ""F---"" up a crab! \r It did not have any BBQ favor and was just plain too salty. I complaint once and the waiter took it back only to bring it back with what looked like an attempt to throw more BBQ on it...it just made it more salty. The waiter never came back to see how it was, then an waitress came by when we were almost finished and asked how our meals were...I said, it is the worst crab I have ever eaten...she thought I was kidding until my wife said..he's not kidding! She was nice about it and asked what I wanted them to do, by then I had eaten most of it or gave away to other people in my party to try. Once you got pass the salty shell to the meat it was ok with a lot of butter.\r I just said...not your fault, nothing you can do. I think I got my whole months of salt intake in this one sitting!\r I will never return to this place in SFand would think twice about any other Joe's Crab Shack. NOT RECOMMENDED...GO ELSEWHERE!\r They don't even deserve the 1 star because of the food...service was ok. \r

YUMMY!!!!!

You have got to try this place, it is a blast and it is soooo good! It is pricey, but well worth it, really. The spicy crab bucket with the sausage, shrimp, corn on the cob and potatoes was really really tasty. It was fun too, watching the whole staff dance and sing, and especially funny when it was someones birthday (3 while we were there) it is an experience everyone needs to have.

Worse Service Ever!!!

This was the worse place I've ever been. We waited for 20 minutes after being seated before any of the employees decided to ask us if we have been help (after we were told that our server would be on his way). It took an hour before we received our food. And to top it off, the waiter was not only rude but sweaty! After doing the "Joe Dance" he can back to our table to bring us our dinner! Mind you the sweat was still on his face and he wiped it off with his hands and did not wash them before handing us our plates! If thats not gross I don't know what is! The ladies restroom had urine all over the floor and in every stall. In addition to that there was wet toliet seat covers on the floors!The general managers lame excuse for the wait and service we received was for a lack of staff. And that we were dealing with his best server so he "knew we were in good hands."
