I purchased tickets in advance to attend the New Year?s Eve party 2012. I paid approximately $240 for three tickets. Upon arrival to Impala, we waited patiently in line for 30 minutes on an incline verses the flat sidewalk on Broadway. After a comprehensive search, we were granted admission. We were advised the VIP with the open bar was downstairs. This room, is 1/3 the size of the upstairs area and occupied with sofa, chairs, bar, and dance floor. There was 200+ customers to 3 Bartenders. The average wait time was 25 minutes for a drink and you couldn?t take it upstairs to the other dance floor. At 11:30, we moved to the smoking area, located outside in front of the club.
While, I was smoking my medicine (cannabis), I was observed by several SFO Police Officers. A customer from Impala, stumbled out the door and vomited into the street in front of the Police. He sat down on the sidewalk and his friends told the Police he was okay.
While this is going on, I didn?t know I was being watched by Impala?s Bounces. I had no clue they coming up with a plan to STEAL my medicine. The guy that was just vomiting and guests, were readmitted before my party WITHOUT being searched. The mix female bouncer who was searching purses, asked my wife, ?Did you save one for me??, after searching her purse twice. Then, searched her girlfriend?s purse breaking her cigarettes. My back is to the club and I?m facing the street. At this time, the Mexican American, 6ft3in with black hair is patting me down. With a delay to my right pans pocket where my keys are located. Then, I turn around and he asked me about something in my top suit coat pocket. I looked at the doorway and my party was gone. I told him, ?My cigar box.?. He said, ?He needed to see it.?. I pulled it out. He said ?Open it.?. He took it out of my hand passed it to the African American man 5ft5in. He said,? I cant have it in there.? and put it into his pocket. I told him he couldn?t take my medicine and he turn his back. I went into the club and got my guest. I was back outside in less than one minute. I asked the African American bouncer for my cigar box and told him I was leaving. He ignored me. I asked for his name and he ignored me. I asked to speak to a Manager. He ignored me. When, my wife wanted to re-enter the club he told her No. I told him she has to claim her coat. While she was inside, I pleaded my case with another bouncer, Samoan 5ft7in, He stated, He should give that back to you, but he walks into the club only after speaking to the African American bouncer who had my cigar box. Which contained approximately $200 of pre-rolled cannabis cigars.
To have my medicine stole, by the bouncers who are paid to protect the patrons, is disgusting. I put nothing past this establishment. Example: Theft. I was never given the option to leave, with my property.
