Our total solution approach can help you achieve your business goals with minimum cost and maximum efficiency. Controlco was founded in 1958 as a commercial control systems wholesaler by Harry C. Schink, a former Honeywell branch manager. Originally called "The Harry Schink Supply Company, " the operation came to be known as Controlco when George A. Johnson, another former Honeywell employee, joined in partnership with Schink. The company was incorporated in 1968, and by 1980, the company had expanded by establishing branches in Fresno, Ventura, Taft, and Santa Maria. Two additional branches were added in Modesto and Sacramento by 1984. In 1985, Schink retired and Johnson purchased the remaining stock, becoming sole owner of Controlco Controlco purchased Stove Plumber's Supply in 1987, adding branches in San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland. In 2000, Johnson retired, transitioning the company to its current owners, Rick Johnson and Terry Turner. Since then, Controlco has opened up an office in Irvine and Las Vegas, and completed the acquisition of Combustion Equipment & Control in Sparks, Nevada.
