This review is not about my experience with CWTD Cab ride but about character of one of their leased Cab owner. I live in a gated housing complex in Oakland, Ca. There are 12 houses in this complex. Some areas inside the complex are marked red "Fire Lane" by City of Oakland and Oalkand Fire Dept for emergency vehicle parking only.

Everyday at night and sometimes during the day a City Wide Cab #360, CA DMV Reg #16001U1 is parked in the Fire-Lane. I believe the Cab owner also lives here or around the complex. It's not that the Car is just sitting idle there. The owner actually use our Fire lane as parking spot.

Several times I brought this to the attention of CWTD and they acknowledged that this Cab is leased to a driver. They told me to call tow company, but we can't call to tow since this is a private property. It looks like CWTD tries to wash up their hand as if it is not their problem. I just like to inform CWTD that ultimately they have leased Cab to a drive who is irresponsible and do not care safety of other homeowners in the complex. It is the responsibility of CWTD to train their drivers where to park and where not to. If something happens to our complex and emergency vehicle is unable to park, we will held CWTD responsible

Best Taxi Experience

I decided to take the train to the City from the South Bay and a friend recommended Citywide Dispatch for my in-City transport needs. After a long day of walking, I used Citywide. The dispatcher was pleasant and I had a very clean car and knowledgeable driver pick me up and get me across the city quickly - even though it was near rush hour.
Based on my experience, I'd use Citywide again and I've already recommended to friends.

No notification that cab wasn't coming

I was really excited to use this service because I could book the cab online. I needed to make it in time for restaurant reservations at 630 PM, so at 4 PM I used the option to book for a future time. I asked for the cab to come at 6. Someone called to confirm this with us.

Now by about 607, the cab hadn't shown up, nobody had called, and I hadn't gotten an email. I called the dispatcher, who told me he was really sorry but that he had been trying to get a cab since 545 and nobody was available. So basically 10 minutes after the cab was supposed to come, I was told that it couldn't, but the only reason I found out was that I called. I would never use this service again, because online booking is only convenient if it actually works.

Honestly what makes this company different is that they keep up with the rest of the world their website CityWideDispatch,com is so innovative. I dont have to be on hold for half an hour. FINALLY a dispatcher that gets us.
