        Castle Inn is a really great value. It's in a great location, safe area, central to everything, and walking distance to most everything in the city, or a very cheap uber or lyft ride. There's free parking, but you don't really need a car. Walgreens is right on the corner, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars right around the corner on Polk Street. There's a coffee maker, microwave and a decent size fridge and freezer in the room. Rooms are a pretty nice size, very comfortable, with lots of counter space.



        No pets or smoking allowed in any of the rooms, which works well for me, but there's an ash tray by the elevator/stairs, so you often have to walk by smokers on your way to and from your room. And if your room is near the elevator, you get the cigarette smoke coming into your room, and the occasionally late night disturbance of smokers hanging out and talking by the ash tray. I wasn't too happy about that.
