Established in 1971, Asian Incorporated is a nonprofit technical assistance and research organization that works to strengthen the infrastructure of Asian American communities in Northern California. It helps in the development and growth of disadvantaged small businesses. The organization s housing division provides affordable housing for low-income families. It also offers comprehensive education workshops for pre- and post-purchase homebuyers. Additionally, the organization offers social and economic programs to assist minority communities. Located in San Francisco, Asian Incorporated also operates a public utility commission. Its library offers a collection of economic reports and census surveys. Asian Incorporated is a founder and active member of Coalition for Economic Equity, a citywide coalition of Asian, African American, Hispanic and women-owned business associations.
