I was planning to purchase an upright piano and I am planning to buy it here. Upon reading the reviews, I think that they are a good music store.

They have different types of instruments here, so if you are looking for a particular one, you'll sure not get dissapointed. The staffs are also helpful.

As a musician, I don't settle for instruments with poor quality. They got good guitars here. I can tell not only by the brand but also by experience.

This music store has met my expectation in any way possible. The staff are great and helpful and the musical instruments are of high quality and standards.

A must see! This is the wor...

Worlds Greatest Record Store!!!

This is the worlds greatest record store... hands down. In my travels I have been to a lot of records stores and since the corporations took over most stores in the 80's and now the digital age has since closed most of them, it is nice to still have a place to thumb through some old albums and talk music with others who have the same love for the old school record store.

Cool!

I am spoiled living in San Francisco with the little shops I tend to take for granted. Last weekend, I finally came across a record store that allowed me to trade in my CDs I'm bored with, and walk out with credit to buy more stuff in the future. Cool and highly recommended. So much better than the overpriced book stores, and so on.

Last of the Independents?

I don't know if Amoeba is an independent record store, small chain or something else but it feels very non-corporate and has a great election whether it's used out of print Jazz or the most esoteric contemporary stuff.

CD Valhalla!

I came to this record store after hearing much hype and going to the Hollywood location. It did indeed live up to the hype as I found a rare cd that is almost impossible to find (even on the internet). The prices here are also ace! Aside from all the trendloving humanoids that clutter it up. This place rightfully deserves the name ""CD Valhalla"". Amoeba is the only good record shop left! I just want to give a big farfenoogin to Tower, Virgin, and the Wherehouse! You moneygrubbing bast...view moreeeds!!!!! Alleviate the stress on your wallet people and shop at Amoeba!!!view less
