My general rule of thumb with regard to reviews is the old cliche ""If you haven't anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."" I prefer to congratulate people on a job well done, than needlessly harp on people who don't live up to my standards. To date I have only ever bitched about one restaurant and I did so because the food was so bad I felt I should warn others. \r \r Now, I am back in warning mode, telling my story of why I will never shop at Handy Handyman again:\r \r The other day I had some keys copied. The cashier told me to keep the receipt in case any of the keys didn't work. I did and one key didn't, as is often the case with keys. So I brought the original key back with the receipt and asked them to make me a new one. \r \r The cashier held the copy up to the original, declared they were mismatched and refused to make a new one. She said she could fix the key if they were matched, but since they were mismatched, she would have to charge me to make a new one. \r \r The mismatch would certainly explain the key not working. Perhaps they had made a copy of the wrong key? Perhaps (although I am quite certain this is not the case) I gave them the wrong key to copy? It doesn't matter. For such a small thing as a key, they should have simply made a new one. I had the receipt, I had paid for a key and it did not work. What more did they need to know? \r \r Handy Handyman will lose a lot of business from me over a key.
