I was visiting San Francisco with my husband and kids from San Diego. And came to Bye Bye San Francisco. The moment I walked in I was greeted by an employee with a cool nose ring. As I looked around, it seems like they were building the store. The store is really well kept, and organized. The store has items that other stores don't which I like the most. We end up buying their fleece with a SF emblem on the chest, mugs and keychains. The entire time I was liking the store for its music, and young and happy employees. Upon checkout I forgot my ID at my hotel 3 blocks away but the employee with spiky hair reassured me to not worry and will place it on hold. The entire time as I waited for my husband to get my ID the young man made me laugh about a joke about San Diego from South Park. We end up buying a Hello Kitty also for my daughter. If anyone is visiting to San Francisco, you should stop by here and check out their products. Thanks to the store and the employees making it a lovely experience. -Kelly Coal

Very impressed. Excellent collection - Fiction, non-fiction, children's and religion... they have also LPs with listening station, DVDs, CDs, Audio Books, Comics, Manga and Graphic novels. Nicely organized with a lot of light. The whole one wall are giant windows. Sofas and tables to sit and read. Jazz music or some instrumental peaceful music in the bacgrount. I feel there very comfortable. Excellent place to read books... I enjoyed it there a lot. Manager and other guys there are pretty easy going. I had there pretty good time and come again. Manager said that they are receiving much more books in than going out. that's why the selection is constantly changing. I see there very recent books as well... a lot of really good stuff.
Books have always been my friends. Treasures. As soon as I step across the store's threshold, I feel that I am entering a place where books and, in fact, the printed word in its many forms - cards, pamphlets, calendars, diaries - are valued and chosen with thoughtfulness and clear intention. A knowledgeable staff person is always ready to help me find what I am looking for and to provide additional insight, some history, a few anecdotes. And then there are the cards -- I always find the right one!
