My experience buying a used car from Austin Motors was fantastic! I highly recommend Austin Motors if you are looking for a new or used car dealer! I haven't bought a used car in over 20 years so I was a little leery of buying a car from a dealer or private owner not knowing if there would be an underlying problem they wouldn't mention...I had been searching for a used Volkswagen Jetta and had test drove a few. The cars were either overpriced, not exactly what I wanted or not in the condition as stated and I didn't have a good feeling about any of the dealers/salesmen I had met. I found a 2005 Jetta 2.5 on craigslist on a Sunday morning, just what I wanted in the description and photo...newer body style, leather interior, fully loaded!!! I called Austin Motors that morning and Chet answered the phone, I asked if it was still available and he said he had just received it a couple of days prior, and I could stop by to see it that day. I brought my boyfriend thinking most car salesmen will take advantage of a woman by herself. The car was parked out front...and it looked beautiful! We were greeted by the owner Chet Hernandez. He opened the car, started the engine and told me to take it for a drive and went back inside his meticulously beautiful showroom...I was a little confused and thought I didn't hear him correctly because every other dealer asked for a copy of my driver's license and test drove it with me. Sure enough we got to drive it giving him nothing in return. I sat in the car and it was totally me! It handled great, was in beautiful condition with minor wear and tear, exactly what I wanted! When we came back to the showroom Chet had all his paperwork on the car laid out for me; the Car fax, current Blue Book, what he bought the car for, what he had put into the car and the price out the door including tax and license. I told him I needed to think about it. He gave me all of the paperwork and said to give him a call when I was ready. No pressure at all! I called him later that evening and told him I wanted the car but had to wait maybe a week for my bank to release funds and offered to give him a deposit to hold the car, he told me not to worry and the car was mine with no deposit! I made an appointment with him 4 days later to buy the car. I arrived by myself; he greeted me as if I were an old friend and was again very professional and organized. He walked me through all the paperwork making sure I understood what I was signing and a half an hour later I drove off in my beautiful new 2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5! I absolutely love my car and have never been happier! Austin Motors is a dealership that has its priorities straight! Chet Hernandez and his assistant Angelica are very knowledgeable and took great care of me! Customer service is top notch and Chet made me a great deal on my car. Like any Dealer they are busy, but it's nice to know that they are willing to take the time to do things right and make sure that the customer comes first.

I have found this negative comment about me and my services and would like to know what it is that you think I have done. Please refresh me, I do not remember you (tomc98) contacting me prior to you make this negative review for a simple explanation of that which concerns you. First, I will establish some parameters about my inspection for purchase services. 1. The information I provide to client is private and confidential. 2. The information that I discuss with a person about their personal, finical affairs is private and confidential. 3. I spend about one hour discussing all aspects of their intended purchase, the purchase, the currently needed repairs, a projected two years plan for potential costs of repairs, and their finical ability to afford and maintain their purchase. 4. The seller is not invited into the discussion for matters of privacy to the buyer. 5. I do not give the seller any information without a release from the buyer. 6. I do make notes about the condition of the vehicle, those notes require my interpretation while looking at the car with the buyer as to the status of current, or projected repairs (what is termed a walk through). I do have a few questions for you to answer; 1. Did the buyer release his paid for confidential information to you? 2. I do not interpret my information to the seller, so who interpreted my evaluation information? You? I will make some suggestions to you. 1. The simplest thing for you to do would be to retract and remove your negative comments. 2. The more involved process would be for you to present the specific information that concerns you and we can discuss that as needed. 3. Additionally, I will need the buyer’s name, the car information, e.g., license, mileage, the document you have with the information about the report and the pictures of your car showing the areas in question. Oh lord its that time again...... Smog tests.........california's greatest flaw, the dmv's heaviest weapon. They've been a pain in my neck ever since I got here but after the smog shop told me I needed to swap out some catalytic converters for 700 dollars, the pain moved towards my pocket book I whent here for a second opinion and these guys sure did help me out. Some sensors around the catayltic converter were the root of the problem and these guys managed to fix my car up for much less than what the smog test guys were calling for. I think these guys are great at what they do I recommend them 100%
