Rude and disrespectful staff. Horrible customer service.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. ""Eh"" is not even close to how I feel about this place. I would not recommend Whiskey Girl for anyone to go to. And I would discourage anyone from giving this establishment any further business until management takes a closer look at how their employees are representing their business. Never mind the fact that there is a $10 cash cover charge and that they charge you $9.50 for a Washington Apple shot after the DJ announces they are $3. The fact that my friend and I were forcibly removed (I have visible marks on my arm and photographs of them) from the bathroom because ""2 people can't be in the same stall."" I can understand if we were trying to get it on or engaging in some illegal drug use, but no, she was in the middle of telling me a story and I stepped in the stall with her to continue listening. To subsequently be grabbed and physically pushed outside is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and grounds for further investigation by management. It is apparent that Whiskey Girl staff believe they can treat customers without respect and forget that they are employed by a service industry. What's even more frustrating is that instead of focusing their time and energy on real problems, they chose to spend it on the 2 girls who went in the bathroom stall together. C'mon Whiskey Girl, maybe you should take a little more care when hiring your security staff and not just taking any riff-raff that applies. Remember, these people are who your customers interact with and what we remember and they aren't doing you much of a service. Once again, I will not be giving Whiskey Girl any repeat business and I am making a it a personal effort to discourage anyone else from patronizing this establishment.

FUN FUN FUN

Showed up last weeked during a nursing conference and line was outrageous. Explained my plight to get my friend to karaoke for her first time while whe was outta town..NEx thing I know.. we were let in and the guys had to pay..... Long story short my friend did karakoke downstairs and it was a hit. then we moved up stairs and danced our butts off to the music. Nice mix of ne, old and everything in between....! I felt the staff ( bar tenders, bouncers, and restroom attendants all did an outstanding job keeping as much order as could be kept making the patrons feel safe and still providing the right kind of atmosphere to just let your hair down and have a great time!

Very slow service, slow bartenders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went there at 5 pm with the girls. We had one drink and burgers/salads. The waitress was sooooooooooo slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous! They take your license at the beginning, which is wise because most people would probably just leave after waiting 40 minutes for the waitress to bring the check. Also, the waitress is lucky that an automatic 18% was added to the check for gratuity, because she didn't deserve anywhere close to that. Food was okay, and arrived before our drinks. The others ordered a beer. I ordered a neat whiskey, and it took 30 + minutes to arrive and it was not even close to a full shot. It took probably 20 minutes for us to eat and the rest of the time, we were waiting on the waitress or bartender. We arrived at 5 pm and we weren't able to leave until @ 6:40. Way toooooooooooo slooooooooowwwww!!!! Not worth it in my opinion, unless you have a lot of time to kill and don't mind paying $10 for a sip of whiskey, and I do mean a sip. Other bars on the street were sports bars and plenty had drink specials. Next time, we will try one of those.

Harassing Bouncers and Manager!

No parking, expensive drinks, Fat ugly bouncers who sexually harass girls, a gay manager who thinks he is cool because he is 40 years old and still works at a bar for a living. This is by far the worst bar in gas lamp! If you go here expect large bills (Don't start a tab! They will run it up!), expect to sexually harassed by over weight ugly bouncers who need dental work, and expect to see a gay little manager who thinks he is cool.... Horrible Horrible Horrible! Cover charge too!

Do not go to this bar! *READ*

Do not go to this bar! They are not military friendly, their drinks are expensive, their bouncers think they are cops and are extremely harrassing... Horrible bar and I will never go again... I Strongly discourage going to this bar if you're looking to have a good time.... BEWARE!

Whiskey Girl: Worst Bar in the Gaslamp. David the supposed owner had to write-in his name on a bla

After a wonder birthday dinner at Cesar's Mangu we chose to go dancing a Whiskey Girl and it was a horrible nightmare. We had only been their for about ten minutes when one girl from our party went to the bathroom. She had not drank any alcohol but she responded to this other girl throwing up and began to gag and just threw up a little. She was bounced out of the club immediately. Her date pleaded her case and was bounced out as well. Being the birthday boy and host I decided to inform this guy ""David"" who claimed to be the owner that I paid $60 for 6 people just ten minutes ago and that I was the only one to have a drink prior to the incident. First he ignored me and after I explained that she was sober he just smiled in an arrogant fashion. I told him I wanted my money back and he bounced me out too. After I spoke with local law inforcement he refunded $20 and gave us three 2 for 1 passes. This guy ""David"" was an idiot and he would not listen to reason. I never yelled or swore, but I was very assertive. He told the officer that my demeanor was innappropriate but my entire party of six stood there and witnessed that I was totally rational and professional. Since I will never step foot in this bar again I decided to give away my 2 for 1 passes about an hour later and a security guard accompanied by ""David"" attempted to snatch my passes and I stood my ground and said that it was my right to give these to anyone I wanted to. ""David"" told everybody in line that these passes were invalid. I plan to petition this club really soon. Then we will find out if ""David"" owns the sidewalk, as well!

Dress Code Is Terrible, Outside Bouncer Needs Teeth kicked Inn

Not nearly a nice enough bar to have a dress code. Are you kidding me? Relax with the insane rules.

Outside security guy (short small black guy) probably will not live long with such an aggressive demeanor when enforcing such a stupid dress code. This guy is way too small to be such an idiot. Whisky Girl should fire him or move into mop the kitchen before they have to pay the medical bills from someone knocking out his teeth.

Avoid This Place At All Times!! Horrible!!!

This was the worst time I have ever had in my life while out on a Saturday Night. The staff was rude the food was terrible and they tried to pass off a Bud-light draft for a Stella.(dont mess with a man's beer) The Waitress would dissapear for 20+ minutes at a time. The steak Quesadilla made my stomach explode. The Pizza was literally like chewing on cardboard. There were some guys watching baseball and wearing caps, They actually told them to take off their caps after they had already been in the bar for hours because their dress-code was now 10pm dress-code. I think one guy even re-fused and they threw him out. What a joke!!!

This is a great place to dance, karaoke, and peple watch. This is not a good place to drink, eat, or

I like the music videos playing on the TV screens, the DJ and dance atmosphere, as well as the ultra awesome new Karaoke corner in the basement on the weekends . The top 40 music from the 80's, 90's , and today is a plus here. Feel free to take a smoke break, the patio is a great place for people watching!!! That said, time for the bad. Parking wow! But that happens anywhere in Gaslamp on a weekend or weekday. So get ready for parking hell of course. I tried to omit parking form my star rating system. Rating this place was hard. A piece of advice.....get drunk before you get here, the service and price of drinks is ridiculous!!! The food....good luck getting a waitress...hahaha.The seating indoor and out is very very limited even if you get there very early. In addition if you leave an hour before closing the bouncer will not let you back in even with a hand stamp ....downer!!!! The $5 cover before 10:00 on a Sat. was not so bad plus we got free cover charge passes to come back for doing well at Karaoke!!! Can't beat that!!!
So 5 stars for the music, dancing, and Karaoke.......only 2 stars for the food, drinks ,and service so i rate this place 3 to 4 stars overall so I put down 3 stars for the lousy parking sorry !!!
