Villa Ranch Bernardo Care Center

My experience with Villa Rancho Bernado has been excellent! The clean condition and miniimuel amount of odor were surprising for a nursing facility. This is what I would consider rehab-nursing placement, not an assisted living enviironment. The staff are warm and caring. The meals are acceptable considering the many special diets need to be made three times per day. I would highly recommend for the advanced care of resident need.

my mom was in this place and the hospital for 1 year ,when she ient in she was walking,when she left this place she was not able to stand,she has been in a wheelchair for 1 year ,and she is as week and helth is failing and she is in this place as we speek,in fact as i was talking to her today which all calls are listion to the lady who answerd my call disconnected my call as i was being disconnected i heard my mom saying to someone please do not hang up the telephone

My mom stayed at this facility for a month. The rehab team were encouraging and friendly to everyone. My mom stayed downstairs and she had the worst time. The morning staff seemed to be always in a hurry with their care and the RN's and the unit manager were so unprofessional. The unit manager, who dresses up as if she were 14 years old, would yell across the hall to get the attention of her staff member. It was totally unreal. The gossiping was another problem I saw during the day. I saw that the assistant director of nursing talking "not so nice things" to the unit manager about their staff aloud and the fact they were laughing out loud annoyingly. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They had a choking incident last year and the patient ended up dying.
