Great food, great service. Only reason I don't give it a full 5 stars is that there was a really long wait. But I think that says something about how great it is if everyone wants to go there.

Definitely a great choice for a quick stay in San Diego. High quality food with excellent prices. Give this place a chance and you won't regret it.

I don't come here nearly enough because of all the other options in the area, but Mona Lisa is a great little place at the north end of Little Italy. I especially like the market out front. it's a great place if you are looking for a good family restaurant without the high price you find elsewhere in the neighborhood.
I have eaten at Mona Lisa many times and have always loved the food. The food was very good and the service was great. I try to order different dishes every time I go there and have never been disappointed. Good Italian food!
some hater named "sam" claiming to be the owner tells me to get-off his property recently one morning. Apparently, not ok to prk the car, buy something from the deli and then walk around the neighborhood a bit...to enjoy ANYTIME! this guy even threatened to call d cops on me!
Your lucky I didnt see you park on my property and then walk off it. I would have just towed you with no warning. Your just got caught tring to park on their property and walk all about in little italy and now your feel like an idiot. There isnt a sign that says "buy something in the deli and park all day" Your a should be lucky thats all you got was a warning. Your the hater to rate a food deli with no critique about the food. This place is hands down the best italian deli in town and you know that.

I live in San Diego and have been to many of the restaurants in Little Italy. Mona Lisa will not disappoint. I recommend the Veal Scallopini and the Chicken Marsala. The salad that comes with the dinner topped with their oil and vinegar dressing is very tasty. Start with a glass of Pinot Grigio by Zenato.

Mona Lisa is by far one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. I've been going there for about 13 years, and one of the main reasons is the tiramisu! It is the best. I don't think it has any kahlua at all - I think the sponge cake is just soaked in espresso. And that cream cheese! Oh my gosh - literally to die for!\r If you go during the week, you can pretty much get seated right away. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, I'd recommend going early or later in the evening. Many times I have waited around 20 minutes or so for a table, so plan accordingly.\r Their food is pretty good. I usually get the lasagna marinara (sometimes the cooks add onions, sometimes they don't - I like it without), or the cheese raviolis with marinara sauce. My fiancee will get their meat dishes, and thinks they're pretty good. Their dinner salads are simple but good, and I love their minestrone soup, though on occasion it has been a bit bland. A little salt usually helps.\r The service (most of the time) leaves something to be desired. Every so often we'll get a great waitress, but more often than not the service is a bit slow, and you'll realize you've been sitting there for 10 minutes or so with a drink just waiting to be refilled. However, the food and reasonable prices usually make up for this, and I generally try to go by there now whenever I'm in San Diego (recently moved to LA).
