City Boxing has very good instructors! Manny makes you break a sweat! I mean literally I sweat dripping!! The staff is very friendly and they are always willing to help you! Show you around, and always available to you when you have questions about what kind of gear to buy etc. what I really love is that even thought you are not taking a class, staff or people that have been members for years will come and help you when you are training on your own, they will tell you what you?re doing wrong and how to improve it. They all motivate you. I have to be honest and say that at first I was hesitant about signing a contract, I don?t like to be tied to contracts but if you think about it, having a contract makes you commit, and by knowing that I have to pay for a year every month I know that I have to stick to my classes and not let my money go down the drain by not going! Overall I think this is a great workout! Great gym! And Instructors are incredible! Josue is very polite and always finding ways to help you out when he can! He is not rude and he is constantly reminding you when you are on your way out the door!

THERE IS A RUDE GUY JOSE AT THE FRONT. THE OWNER AND TRAINERS R COOL. THE BEST TRAINER in San Diego is Manny Melchor the World Champion,i took his class 10 X, but the equipment is 15 years old, only 2 working punching bags and 1 weak double end bag! for 50 person class?! too bad no one maintains this place,I think the owner doesnt check in,and that lazy and poor people person jose just runs that place to the ground and turns people away if they dont have cash on hand. he doesnt like the trainers or customers. THE PLACE WOULD BE GREAT WITH A LITTLE INVESTING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE- GREAT CLASSES AND TRAINERS.

Not good Muay Thai taught by kickboxer not a muay thai guy. No good clinch and no good elbow technique, no good kick...boxing only..I train in East with top Thai trainer and this guy might be ok kickboxer but not good Muay thai. Gym pretty but bad attitude from manager owner..sell sell sell and no good training. Dislike!

I'm an ex-City Boxing member... and I will never go back. They have a beautiful gym, nice equipment, and persuasive marketing...but I was not impressed with the staff. I hated asking them for help. Then, when my one year membership finally expired (or so I thought)... the nightmare wasn't over. I HATE City Boxing.

Ive been a member of City Boxing for about a month now, and the big difference I've noticed between this gym and some of the other martial arts gyms I've been there is the trainers. They are each well respected and hold titles in their respective sports. Also the other members of the gym are helpful when you are learning a new technique or having difficulty.

CITY BOXING WORKS! NO LIE
Unlike other gyms that require additional fees for personal training on top of watch you pay for membership fees activation fees and all the other nonsense they charge. CITY BOXING offers the personal training you need to get into the shape of you life without the extras fees!!!
At I was intimidated cuz I've never had any boxing exp. but with the help of the coaches as well as the members it was easy to feel like I became part of the team. The coaches push you to the limit which best suit you! With the encouragement of other peer members, fitness has never been so much fun! You actually trick your body into working harder.
They offer classes or you can come in and workout anytime!!! I LOVE IT! BEST GYM FOR RESULTS!!!HANDS DOWN!!!
