I absolutely love this place!
Its such a cool retreat for a quick meal or even big groups wanting to just hang out. You have to get their Pizza!!!
I actually stumbled across this spot without any recommendations and just tried them out and was in love. I was probably a little biased at first since I loved how the place looked, but I've gone back so many times that its true, this place Rocks.
After going to basic a few times to meet up with friends or for their tuesday night art showing, the last time was it for me!! The ""doorman"" has been flirty/rude a couple times but this time he went too far and said some inappropriate things to my friend as he was holding her ID. We all decided to turn around and leave .... never to return. Get better help if you want to keep your weekend regularsProvided by Citysearch
When we were there, excellent thin crust pizza. However, being from the Chicago area, you would have your hands chopped off for putting so little topping on. I ate a few pizza place while visiting and found that true of both place. Put on the sausage.Share Review
This used to be downtown's hidden gem. Now Basic is all the rage but, it still does what it intended to do right- be a great bar where people can eat, drink and be merry. The bartenders make you feel like family so you never want to go anywhere else.Provided by Citysearch
The pizza at Basic is very much what everyone says it is. Try anything on a white pie...soooo good. The bartender was super nice, made us superfruit mojitos with TY KU, which were bomb. And the mood of the place, although ""basic"" (haha), was really chill for a Sunday night. I've only been once, but I'm sure I'll be there again!Provided by Citysearch
I love coming to this place! They have GREAT pizza (It is flat and basic...Like the name). The staff has always been friendly, even on busy nights. Their art shows are really cool too (Every Tuesday. Except Padre Home Game Days) Good place to meet people too.Provided by Citysearch
