        Run the other way

        I called in for an estimate on a fridge door replacement. It took them 4 days to make the call. The technician looked at the door, provided a quote, then handed me a bill for $160 for providing the estimate. I argued that this could have been done over the phone, as I had supplied the model and serial numbers. Finally the technician asked me "how much are you willing to pay to get me to leave." subsequently a free estimate was provided by another company- totaling less than half what this company quoted.
