I like Ryan Brothers, mainly because they make a really good latte. I confess I am a latte drinker; I don't care for flavors or other enhancements, so I can't tell you whether or not the milky way mocha is any good. But making a really good latte is an art and they do it really well here. The also serve to-order drip coffee, and carry an abundance of teas. The coffee is roasted on the premises, and if you visit while they are roasting you get to enjoy the enchanting aroma of roasting coffee while you enjoy your drink. They have recently begun offering a lunch menu, which I have not tried, but I have sampled a few of the pastries offered and they are good. I miss the yogurt they used to carry - it was very tart with just a small amount of sweet strawberries on the bottom and a tablespoon or two of granola. I was completely addicted to this yogurt parfait, and miss it terribly. But this is still my coffee shop of choice in this area. We frequently drive here from work - a drive of about 3 miles that is completely worth it.
When I first walked into this colorful store, I experienced all kinds of amazing sights and smells. This is an herb shop, where people come to buy herbs, incense, tea and other products. Herbs are amazing. They can be an alternative to harsh drugs and chemicals. The owner, Amanda has over 18 years experience in this area. The walls are covered with bags filled with dried herbs and plants, all sectioned off into different categories. Each herb may be helpful for different ailments, for example if someone is in need of a positive mood lift, one might try a Damiana tea. There are herbs for all occasions, including herbs to assist in kicking addiction to drugs and alcohol. There’s even a coffee alternative “Yerba Mate” that is a powerful antioxidant, and also very revitalizing. Overall a great shop, very friendly and helpful.
I have been going to thrift stores for 40 years. Humble Heart Thrift store has the pricing that a thrift store should be. They have an an Art Gallery, a big Book room, Furniture room, clothing, accessories, linens, electronics, tons of videos and records and cassette tapes, games and DVD's, cell phone chargers, Misc cords and computer stuff, knic knacs, housewares, collectables, a kids room and they even have a dressing room to try the clothes on. There is so much to see at this store. They even have a really nice little boutique with even nicer stuff but still at a good bargin. When you walk in everyone is pleasant and helpful. They even help the homeless. I can't help but want to go all the time. They are always getting new stuff!
