If you like great Chinese food the way old fashion way this is the place to go. The Peking Restaurant is family owned and operated for over 30 years. Every day of the week they have fabulous lunch specials that can't be beat. You have to go and see why they have been so successful all these years. For a special treat go during Chinese New Year which is during the month of February. It is a sell out every year. The Lucky Lion dancers come to perform inside the restaurant with their drum, gong and cymbals making a lot of noise to bring you good luck. All this at no extra cost. If you want to see the the celebration inside the restaurant, the best tip is to call on Feb. 1 and RSVP.
I do have to say that this place did not disappoint us, especially when the night food cravings come. Have you tried the Miso Flavored Salmon Special? That's delicious! I also had a different fish special another night and it was also fabulous. I'm not sure if it is because I'm not used to the taste, but the seafood pancake wasn't much to my liking but I'd come back to try something else!
They greet you when you walk in the door. It was hilarious. The chefs were very helpful and entertaining. The food was of good quality and very flavorful! It was VERY inexpensive!!! Very filling and totally yummy!!!! Go for the atmosphere and great food!!!
