I signed up with at least 10 staffing firms, including two on the first page of this Yellow pages.com search. Except for at TLC, I was treated like a number at best, and in one case as a complete nuisance. It was like they couldnt wait to get me out of there. Even though TLC did not have a job for me right away they treated me with respect and gave me a few pointers as to how to magnify my search and they helped me explore other positions that I didn't think I was qualified for. I'm now working on a project position at a large financial firm that might go permanent, but frankly, I'm not sure I want to go permanent. I might like this temping thing so that I can continue to meet new people and develop new skills. I hightly recommend including TLC Staffing in your search. I moved way back in November after Thanksgiving. I'm just NOW sorting through all of my old emails and ran across this confirmation of a date change, etc. I never thanked you or your company on my move. I've never seen two young men work harder! I was very impressed with their strength, constant work (they took precious little time to rest) and they were friendly and nice. One of the boy's dad was the second in command at your office (is that either Rich or Mike?) Anyway, I thank him too. Your supervisor was clearly in the know on how to move a heck of a lot of stuff. It was WAY bigger a move than I had thought it would be and cost way more than I had thought also, but I feel it was money well spent, and clearly well deserved by you all. Thanks again for your help, and am happy to report you have upheld my estimation of your A+ Better Business Bureau rating. I still haven't unpacked everything, but so far, no breaks. YAY!
TLC's employees are very professional and know their customers! I was impressed by the fact that they do their own testing on-site to screen applicants and to get a better feel for how well the applicant might match a position. Also, their staff is very active in outreach and charity work in the local community, which means something to me. Not only do they spend their valuable time helping find applicants, they help applicants by their good deeds and investing more of their own time and money. A well run organization with an strong emphasis on knowing me, their customer, and I would suggest giving them a try for any critical staffing needs. -Gary
