I had Sears install a pair of struts on my BMW about a year ago and the mechanic told me I will soon need tie rod ends and a idler arm but I did not have another 2 hours to wait for parts and intallation , so I decided not to do it at that time, they did a great job on the struts.
I found the parts I needed online, 2 certified oem tie rod ends at $ 15.38 each, they list at $43.00 each and the Idler arm for $40.46 that list for $81.36 and bought everything I needed for the job paying a total of $ 71.72 instead of list price of $167.36
I woke up early on a Saturday to beat the crowd and arrived at Sears at 7:30 AM, stood in line for 20 minutes to find out Sears will not install my brand new oem parts that I purchesed, they told me I had to use there parts at the full list price.
Needless to say, I will not be returning to Sears for anymore automotive work
