I ordered an ice cream cake for a birthday celebration and it was pretty good. There were lots of compliments from the guests. The customer service was nice as well. I ordered on a Friday and needed the cake Monday. They called me on Saturday to make sure they had all the info they needed to make my cake special. The only thing is, I wish they had given me instructions. That may sound silly, but the shop is about 10 minutes from my office where the cake was to be served. I thought the 10 min drive and walk to my building would be plenty of time for the ice cream to soften up a bit for cutting. It was very tough to cut because it was still so frozen...we even used a knife dipped in warm water. I think they should let folks know to let it sit out a bit before cutting into the cakes. Other than that, it was a great experience.

The food is mediocre and overpriced. I probably wouldn't recommend it if you just want dinner. However, as for the cheesecake, I believe it is worth the hefty price only if you want a plethora of cheesecakes to choose from. The actual cheesecake itself is good, but you could probably do better for a better price anywhere else. Cheesecake factory is good only for the huge selection, not necessarily the flavour.
We have been regulars at Sam's since this place opened. Home made ice cream and great service. My favorites are chocolate chip mint and maple walnut ice cream on a sugar cone. Husband loves his cake batter milk shake and daughter is eating her way through all the flavors. Happy to have found a local small business that takes pride in their product. Sam's is also military owned and we gladly support our troops!
Looked this up for the store phone number to order a party pack for tomorrow. I am now going to save it in my phone. I have already filled up a couple of punch cards. So my kids and I are in there a lot! It is a real treat for us. I have never ever seen the kids shaving not wearing gloves. We like to stand at the side to watch them make our treats. So I say the other review is seriously mistaken.
I love Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt. Arctic Ape has a great thing going here in San Antonio. Their frozen desserts taste the best of any place I've been, and they have the most selections available. The selection of toppings is never-ending and fruits are garden fresh. I give this place 5 stars, a triple WOW, and the #1.
We drive all the way from near Hondo for this ice cream! It isn't as cheap as DQ but it is so much better! The possibilities are endless when building up what you want, everything is fresh, and the shop is so clean. The ice cream is what makes it worth the trip- our fave treat!
We ate here on our trip to SA, friendly staff, food well prepared, but could be better, my fajitas were a little hard to chew but my husband's were tender. I guess I would give them another chance if we go back.
I've been here serveral times in the last year and the service is always great! Service with a smile :-) I'm looking forward to coming back when the weather perks up a bit.
Love this ice cream. Had to take one star off because of the bad service we received a couple of times, but usually the service is great as well.
this is like pinkberry yogurt (california and new york) but much cheaper and a variety of add-ons...its organic, fresh, and fat-free
