Oven toasted sandwiches on fresh homemade bread. Family owned since 1974.
I ate here for lunch on a weekday with a large group.
The food came out fast. I had the Reuben. It tasted great. The prices and customer services was average.
I would go back.
YUMM! Had lunch here today, and it was awesome! I had the Halfa Serious Sandwich. It was so good and filling. The service was quick and friendly.
I love the fresh baked bread! Their selection can keep you busy. You haven't had a great meal until you try their "Serious Sandwich. My wife won't just eat anywhere, but she insists we have a Zito's every Saturday! This is not a chain shop. The owners are there every day. They will build it your way, but try their way first!

I have driven by here so many times and was unable to stop. I finally made it in with my family on Saturday. I had the half serious and my wife had the turkey sandwich. My children were able to split an Italian. When the food came, everything looked so good we all had to try each others. The sandwiches were incredible and everyone went home full and very happy. \r \r The place is very homey and unlike the big chains in todays world. The owner who was behind the counter seemed to know everyone who came in. Not only did he know them, but he seemed to know most of them by name. I plan to become one of those customers who is greeted with recognition.\r \r This is for sure my favorite sandwich place!!

Zito's sandwiches are amazing!! I have been going to Zito's since I was a little girl and now take my own children there. They have the best sandwiches in town! It is nice to see a mom and pop place still thriving in this economy. It is very affordable. .\r

The place is filthy. The workers don't wear gloves. The guy at the register is rude. There was a dirty towel, which belongs in a sanitary bucket, just sitting on the food service station, they charge extra for pickles!!! ANY sub shop you go to from NY to CALI gives you a pickle!! I will NEVER go back... 8 dollars for a SMALL TURKEY SUB!?!?!?! WOW ... DONT GO!!!

Zito's is one of, if not the very best sandwich shops in San Antonio. Besides being a patron myself for years, every time a friend comes in town for a few days this is one of the places that I take them. All first timers must order the 1/2 serious(the whole thing is just way too big for one person). The sandwich is a smorgasbord of various meats, cheeses, and veggies that are grilled betweed two slices of pita bread. Zito's was grilling their sandwiches way before the likes of Quizno's came around! The other sandwiches are phenomenal too.

this is one of my favorite spots to eat if i have the time. zitos is only open durring lunch time and is ALWAYS busy. i recomend arriving before noon or around one. between that there is usually a long line to order and you will have to wait for tables, but always well worth the wait. easy access from north east side and 410, zitos offers a mean sandwich, remindes me very much of new york. i highly recomend the italian combo, three meats and cheese with an awsome sause on your choice of bread, tosted. one of the greatest sandwich places in SA. a must visit.
