X-rays
Dental X-rays are one of the most valuable tools a dental professional uses to diagnose disease in the mouth. Many conditions can only be detected with the use of dental radiographs. Because your dentist gains valuable information from X-rays to aid keeping the mouth healthy, it is vital to have them taken regularly to diagnose and treat the wide variety of dental conditions.

Teeth Cleaning
A dental exam and cleaning will vary for each patient, depending upon their teeth. If it's been a while since your last exam, your teeth may have more plaque build-up. This will require more cleaning. Scheduling an exam and cleaning every six months, combined with proper oral care at home, will keep these regular cleanings down to a minimal experience.
Fluoride Treatment
To stop a cavity before it forms: brush twice a day using fluoride toothpaste, clean between teeth by flossing once a day, drink water to wash away sugars, and visit a dentist for a fluoride treatment. All this can help stop the harmful bacteria from making a hole in your tooth.

Fillings
Composite fillings are a natural-looking tooth-colored material that can be used to restore decayed or worn teeth while still maintaining a beautiful appearance. Crowns

Braces
Riding home from work on a bicycle a week before college, Dr. Johnson was struck by a vehicle in a hit and run accident. He suffered from broken front teeth and a fractured jaw, just a few days after having his braces removed. Because of the injuries, the first six months of college were spent on a liquid diet.
