I was so sad when La Reve closed so I thought Sandbar would certainly be a unique experience as well but I was wrong. The waiter had no clue about the wines and when the wine steward came to talk to me, he seemed as clueless as the waiter. I picked a bottle he suggested and it was horrible. Some Pinot that tasted more like dirt than wine. We ordered oysters and they were good, then ordered the clam chowder (the chowder had only 3-4 clams in it!!!) So it turned out to be potato chowder if you ask me. Then we ordered ceviche and salmon, which was okay at best. Desert was great, cheesecake and a creme brulee. It's just unfortunate that the cleaning staff began bleaching the floors as we ate our deserts. Of course I asked for them to move us to another table. We began to enjoy ourselves when the staff began to turn out the lights. Well I guess that was our hint to leave the restaurant. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered at a restaurant and I was expecting so much more from them.
