The rooms reflect the Art Nouveau style of the 1920s in their use of the stained glass ivy window panels and the decorative plaster corn and wheat motif of the miller's trade. The restaurant is open for both breakfast and lunch and features baked items--breads, pastries, pancakes and waffles--as well as sandwiches, soups, salads and our specialty, biscuits and gravy.\n\nThe museum displays pioneer flourmills memorabilia as well as Guenther family photos and remembrances. Of special delight to collectors are the Dresden china anniversary plates. These were made in Germany until WWII and were given to customers of the Mill.\n\nThe River Mill Store offers gourmet baking mixes, custom stoneware, cookware, and other gift items. The rooms themselves, once formerly the music room and bedroom, feature fireplaces and distinctive tile work that are part of the original decor.

Great location. Breakfast decent but Looong waits

Quaint restaurant on property of Pioneer Flour Mill. Best biscuits in town! Longs waits for breakfast are a bit frustrating I love to bring out of town guests here for breakfast - during the week. Too busy on weekends

cool location/subpar food

I was surprised that the food wasn't better. I really wanted to love this place. Went twice, wasn't impressed. Cool location.

Not on my 10 Best List!

I dragged my boyfriend here for breakfast this morning, based on the 10best recommendation for breakfast. It was a cool house to visit, but there is truly no reason to eat there. $6 bought me plain biscuits and bland gravy. $7 bought my boyfriend one waffle (small size), which was sorta good. The soda and tea were strange--the soda tasted like it had no carbonation, despite being in a can. The tea was odd-tasting--bland to say the least. Marketed as 'iced' but there was mint or something in it. Didn't help the taste any! The best part about this restaurant is actually the gift shop.

One of the best places to take out of towners

I love this place. It is great for out of towners or just for a nice brunch for locals. The food is wonderful and prices are reasonable considering the ambiance/history. Highly recommened.
