Unfortunately for an urgent care, there isn't a sense of urgency. My child and I waited uncomfortably in the waiting area for over an hour to be called back. I had to ask if she could lay down. Once we were seen, it went pretty quickly; however, I didn't agree with the diagnosis or treatment plan offered. My daughter is a Strep carrier. Every 3 months her throat swells and is very painful. Every time she's treated with antibiotics and the symtoms are gone within 24 hours. This virus always turns into an infection. The PA refused to give her antibiotics and wanted her to take a steroid instead. She couldn't explain the diagnosis kept calling it an infection and then a virus. Couldn't answer my questions clearly and had the nerve to have an attitude. Everyone else was very nice, but I'm not comfortable going to a PA that only knows the basics. When I told her I would take her to the ER she got mad & threatened not to treat my daughter. My response was don't get an attitude with me because I want a second opinion. I just shook my head. I will never go here again. 3 patients total and over an hour wait. I could've spent less time in the ER and my daughter wouldn't feel the exact same as she did when she went in.
