On last Saturday a friend and I walked in the store about five to ten minutes before closing. I was going in for and eye pencil but wanted my friend to see the store I was raving about. Before we got three steps in, we heard a voice that said "Do you ladies know what you want? We looked around to see who was speaking because there were too young women standing there whose looked embarrassed. As I headed for the pencils, she repeated it adamantly. I told her yes I knew what I wanted. She responded, cause if its a wig or hair or anything else, we're not doing that. I stopped and informed her that I didn't appreciate that greeting. There as a better way to entreat customers. She became sarcastic, condescending, and the downright rude and patronizing. I informed her that she should remember that she works for someone else and I'm sure he would not want his patronage insulted. She said she was the manager. Heavyset African American woman. I told her that this is exactly what happens when we get an ounce of authority...we abuse it and moreso each other. Plantation mentality. Body language, tone, demeanor all wreaked of arrogance and ghetto mentality. The store is amazing, but I will not spend one DIME in a place where I'm not entreated as a valued customer! I'm appealing to the community especially those who make others rich because we wear hair that doesn't belong to us as well as nails. Please make a note if you are only valued for your money. The lady with me was disabled, embarrassed, and appalled. She just reminded me of it today and asked that I remember to post a review.

I give it one star for the products, none for customer service based on this day alone. I will return to speak to the owner. If he supports her behavior, I will make the public aware in a much more profound manner. The problem is you NEVER know who the person is you're serving.
