Food was okay but by no means did it make up for snotty, rude, waitresses & horrible service across the board. Prices are extreme for small portions. I would have preferred half the price & much better food just down the street at Martha's concina at Broadway & 410! Will never return. Was only interested in trying because of all the awards they have earned, BUT ... DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE! They leave much to be desired & as some one who lives just down the street I will NEVER return! BEWARE! You'll leave hungry, angry, & broke!

I have been here two times in the past two years or so. Both times have been with parties of 12-14 people. Perhaps the staff is simply not trained to take care of a larger table.\r \r The drinks are strong and delish. The service is slow, water is not filled up, checks took nearly a half hour and I ended up getting my meal (and my husbands) comped after telling the manager there was no way I was paying for a meal that I had been trying to pay for for nearly half an hour.\r \r Anyway, the cheese enchiladas have carne sauce on them, this is not on the menu, not a pleasant suprise for a vegetarian. Not to mention that I had asked what the beans and rice were cooked with - so only some idiot waiter would actually check on that, give me the green light and then bring the meal with meat sauce - duh.\r \r Well, try going on a date or with a smaller crowd I suppose. Overall, I thought they were overpriced for the level of service I recieved and that is what going to dinner is really all about anyway.

We moved to San Antonio from Mexico City less than 2 years ago, where we lived for 32 years, most of our lives, and we had missed the real authentic Mexican feeling of good food, drinks and music. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty nice Mexican restaurants in SA, but this was different, this was the real thing, and especially when the Margaritas arrived .. and then the Mariachis ! Congratulations on keeping it real and good, we just loved it and even sang along a few of the songs.

The lobster enchiladas are the best anywhere and the service is exceptional.I highly recommend Soluna.

Wow! My boyfriend and I were on our way to try another restuarant when we noticed Soluna was a lot busier. When we walked up, we thought we were about to break our bank! There is a patio with beauttiful landscaping complete w/ fans and colorful hanging baskets. Inside, I was thrilled by the romance of the half mirrored walls and fresh roses and candels at every table! Wow!!! Our waitress, Penny, was very attentive, yet not overbearing. There was no Pinot Nior, as the wine menu is basic, but my margarita was perfect! While we enjoyed the most wonderful nortenas tacos and salmon w/ pablono cream sauce to uobeat, romantic latin music, we were also able to hold lively conversation and relax. To top it off, mariachis were avaiable, but not pushy, we were seating right away, the dessert empanadas were excellent and the price did not break our bank. Soluna is at the top of my favorite hot spots for sure!!!

This place has the worst wait staff I have ever seen! It took almost two hours to have lunch one time, I had to get up about five times and go inside to get our waitress! She would not come by to check up on us, and one time we saw no one for almost 30 minutes, and there were only about six tables seated that day! This is not an isolated incident, it has happened on numerous occasions. If they fix the service problem I would give them a 10.

Some of the best recipes in San Antonio - ask for the fresh guacamole with grilled seranos - amazing! Somettimes there are mariachis - ask for Jerry - he's family and really takes good care of his clientel.
