Success! Thanks for posting your review of Soho Wine & Martini Bar. You’ve done the world some good today.

A downtown Oasis

This is one of my favorite spots in the downtown area. The staff is always friendly and willing to offer suggestions to help you navigate the extensive drink menu. Be sure to check out the the bank vault that has been transformed into a wine vault. Ladies another plus.... directly under the bar are hooks so your bag won't get ruined should you enjoy one too many!

balance of upscale and inclusion

After reading some of these other reviews, I felt like I had to speak up for what I consider to be the best bar in down town San Antonio. It has the upscale feel of some of the more expensive bars on the northside or in the higher end hotels, without the price tag. Although Soho is not that old, it has a naturally classy, aged feeling to it. I'm sure some of this has to do with the building, the experienced ownership... view more

Highly Recommended!!!!!

Ok PeggyStanton...not sure what bar you went to? This is the best bar I have been to in my 28 years! I'm not an alcoholic but I've been known to throw a few cold ones back. It is the perfect place to take a date, hang out with friends, hell you can even take your mother there to get a nice glass of wine after church at St. Mary's. Hey us Catholics start drinking at Mass! You can go dressed up...dressed down. Awesom... view more

Easy on the palatte and the eyes

This cozy =nook of downtown is nestled between the Watermark Hotel and Club Rive on Crockett street. The bar has a classy, laid-back, lounge feel to it and the staff are just as laid-back, but still provide the best in service. Lutfy, Ron, Jerry, Eddie and everyone there make it a point to make everyone feel welcomed, at home, and amongst family. Their personal touch of service and comraderie is what gives Soho that ... view more

A classy neighborhood bar

SoHo is my favorite place to go out to in San Antonio! It has a classy, old-timey feel to it with a local flavor. It's set in an old bank building in the touristy Riverwalk area, yet the majority of its clientele are a pretty friendly lot who live in San Antonio. Come dressed to the nine's or casual: everyone's welcome! The music ranges from funk to blues to pop tunes, but it's at a moderate level where you can a... view more

fresh ingredients and fresh conversation

SoHo is an eclectic mix of fresh ingredients, libations and conversation in the oft commercial atmosphere of the San Antonio River Walk. From the fresh shaved ginger going into the ginger martini to the careful selection of fine spirits, Lufty and Ron have created an oasis of originality in a sea of commercialism.\r If the menu says ""key lime"" you can guarantee the drink will contain fresh lime. The catch is you w... view more

Pricey joint pretending to be upscale

I've traveled to New York, Paris and London and this is nothing like the bars in those places. It would like to be, so it can justify the crazy prices ($6 wells in San Antonio!) but it has no class in the service, and for all the foo-foo decor it's basically drab and dirty. If you don't believe me, that's why it's constantly empty - the locals aren't going to drop $50 to sit in a dirty empty bar with crappy service. ... view more

Upscale prices with downscale service

There's no service here at all and yet it must be the most expensive bar in the whole of San Antonio. $15 for a glass of zinfandel in a dirty glass served by a surly bartender isnt my idea of a good time. The decor is ok but there's no music so it just echoes everywhere, except for the sports tv which is way too loud. What's the point of being a swanky wine bar if you just blast NFL at everyone? Not recommended.
