You shave less often, but you will shave again. You are told that on average, 4-6 sessions does the trick. I have had 6 sessions on my under arms and bikini. I am still shaving. I do see a difference, but i am not hair-free. You usually wait for your session; they are not good about taking you in quickly. Some of the staff are really sweet, but some are not. One laser tech acted really rude when I was in pain on the table. I recommend it only if you are ready to dish out some serious cash. With that said, I DO recommend Smooth Solutions over Neoskin. SS is more expensive, but it is worth it. I am happy with the results I have seen, but I expected more in 6 session.
P.S. It does hurt after about the 3rd session, but they have numbing creme. The downer about that is that they have to apply it there nearly an hour prior to treatment and it is $40 for a very small tube.

I would like to respond to your comments. I am sorry that you are not happy with your results at this point. Unfortunately, we are dealing with human beings so there is always going to be variability in results. Most people have very good results after 4-6 treatments. Some people take longer to get there. This is why we price the way we do. For example, we price underarms (w/o any discount) at $79 a treatment with the 6th treatment free. Then for those people who have good results but may have a few stubborn hairs that pop out, we charge $29 per treatment to finish. It can sometimes take four or five more treatments spaced out over a few years to get those last remaining dormant hairs that pop up. We felt that a significantly reduced price to get rid of those last hairs to be fair. Of course, sometimes woman will still have quite a bit of hair after 6 txts and in that case we ask that you talk to the manager. We have a special program for dealing with situations where the results are not acceptable. At that point we go our of our way to figure out why you are not getting results and make sure that we fix those problems, usually at our cost. So please talk to the manager so that we can do the right thing for you.
As far as rudeness we try very hard to be friendly and courteous. But we need your help. If someone on our staff was rude, we need to know so that we can teach them to be better at customer service. It may be that they just didn't understand how they were coming across.
I wish we didn't have to charge for the topical cream but we sell it at our cost. We make no money on our client's pain. Just part of our philosophy of doing the right thing for our clients.
Finally, thank you for recommending us over Neoskin. We have tried very hard to do the right thing by our clients and the fact that we have been around for 10 years says a lot. Furthermore, our prices are not expensive. They are fair prices for the cost it takes to run a center. In fact, they are the same prices we had 10 years ago when we were 50% less than anyone else. Neoskin charges prices that are below what it costs to deliver the service. So it makes one wonder what they are actually selling. Though it hasn't yet happened much in San Antonio, in Dallas where we have three centers there have been a number of providers that have come into the market like Neoskin, spent a lot of money on advertising, charged low prices, brought in a lot of cash and then disappeared a year or two later, leaving unhappy clients behind. We hare hoping that that doesn't happen in San Antonio.
