Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
This is an outpatient clinic that is looking for an OT interested in working primarily with adults that include a wide variety diagnosis. You would work with a wide variety of Upper Extremity orthopedic and post-op conditions such as carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, medial/lateral epicondylitis, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, thoracic outlet syndrome, joint replacements, UE fractures, nerve and tendon releases, CRPS/RSD, dislocations, Parkinson’s, stroke/TBI, and spinal cord injury.

Ultrasound
Physical Therapy is the treatment of body ailments by various physical or non medicinal means. This can include the use of a variety of exercise techniques and various modalities, such as heat, massage, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulations, TENS, traction, manual therapy, to name a few.
MRI
Then you will be seen by a licensed therapist who will be asking several questions about your history of the condition, pain rating, your goals for treatment and outline a plan of care. Depending on the time it takes to obtain all necessary information your actual treatment may begin on your first visit. Copies of your x-ray/MRI or other reports are helpful. Most Dr offices do not send these to us unless you request this. If necessary, we will ask you to sign a medical release so we can obtain this information.

Tara received her bachelors degree in Health Science from Western Oregon University in 2002, and received her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University in Forest Grove Oregon in 2007. Tara is a native of North Bend, Oregon graduating from North Bend High School in 1998, and has been with SWPT since 2007. As a member of the APTA, Tara is also registered in the Geriatric & Orthopedic/ Sports sections of that organization. Her professional interests are orthopedics and balance conditions contributing to falls in older adults. She provides skilled care at Gold Beach Physical Therapy, Gold Beach Hospital, as well as Curry Count Home Health in Gold Beach and Northern Curry County.

Sports Medicine
John resides in Coquille and continues to be active in the lives of his six children and their families, including his two grandsons. He is often found at the high school helping out with sports medicine, and on the highways riding his Harley on a sunny day.

Occupational Therapy
Eric has a Masters in of Science Occupational Therapy. He grew up in a small community in MN. He is a talented athlete and musician. Eric came to SWPT because he enjoys the variety of outpatient, Hospital and Home Health settings. He also enjoys the rural community as it reminds him of home. Eric and his wife enjoy hiking, exploring, camping and learning new things. Eric will be working primarily out of our Bandon and Coos Bay offices.
Aquatic Therapy
Derek is a certified weight instructor as well as ATRI trained Aquatic Therapist. He is also heavily involved in North Bend High School and Marshfield High School’s sports medicine activities. He is also very busy with family life of 2 boys and 2 girls as well as coaching their youth sports.
Manual Therapy
Gain experience with manual therapy, kinesio-taping, and making splints. Also learn how to use instruments for instrument assisted manual therapy.
