Things aren't looking good, bu...

My experience with this vendor could not be worse. They ruined my shoes and refuse to take responsibility for the damage -- or even apologize!

I have had them resole many shoes for me and they know I'm a repeat customer.

When they returned my hand-made Italian leather shoes to me has they have often done before, there were two gashed in the leather - one of either side of the shoe. The gashes are 1/2 - 2/3 of an inch long and go completely through the leather, obviously ruining the shoes.

They offered to try and repair them, which I told them was obviously a waste of both our time, but I let them give it a whirl. Predictably, the repair looks ridiculous and cracked apart the first hour of wear.

When I noted the issue, the guy at the counter said, I can't know for certain whether the shoes cam in that way. I asked him whether he knew the exact repair person who worked on my shoe and he said "yes." When I asked "Did you ask that employee whether he damaged my shoe while he was repairing it?" he said "No, I didn't want to look into blame -- I just wanted to get the cuts repaired." (I'll let the reader of the review be the judge of how likely that is to be true.)

He then asked me why I cared whose fault it was, and I said because it is important to knows responsibility it is to apologize and make it right (obviously). He begrudgingly agreed to ask the person working on my shoe about the damage "next time he's in." He never followed up with me, which means he found out exactly what we both knew - his employee destroyed my shoes.

Completely Ripped Off

These guys have the worst customer service I've ever had the misfortune to experience. I will never go here again.

Special request.

I have to have a 1" lift put on my left shoe. I was very happy for the service and the short amount of time it took. I'm new in town and where I'm from was going to take up to 6 weeks. I am happy it only took one week. The customer service I received was outstanding!!!

Great service, Gr

I got my Cowboy boots resoled and back to me in just one week!!! Just in time for the Rodeo. They looked better than new. Glad I found them. Other shoe repair places told me 3 to 4 weeks to get repairs done. Glad I found these guys.

Wonderful Experience!

I recently visited San Antonio Shoe & Luggage Repair and was very pleased with my the service and the repair work was done quickly and perfectly. I would highly recommend them to friends and family. The other repair centers make you wait twice as long.
