My wife and I wanted to give Saltwater steakhouse a chance. We have both enjoyed our dinning experiences when we went to The Texas Road house and hoped that the Saltwater would be just as good. We walked away wishing that we had just gone across Hwy 281 to the Roadhouse. My wife's steak was over cooked and I felt that the dinner was over priced. The food tasted better the second day after I had recooked it than it did in the restraunt. Plus we would have gotten to pick out our own steaks at the entrance and saved twenty dollars on the total order. Go Texas Roadhouse you will have a better overall experience.

Visited San Antonio and everyone told us to try Salt Grass for great steak. We weren't disappointed. I can't believe the quality of the meat. I ordered a rib eye, medium rare and that's exactly what I got. Added the blue cheese sauce and was in heaven. Everyone loves the Shiner bock bread, but I thought it was only ok. A little sweet for me (tasted kind of like King's Hawaiian bread actually). Great variety of side orders to accompany your steak. We went during off hours so we didn't have to wait. We went to the one on the River Walk, but citysearch doesn't have an entry for them yet. Blanca was our server and she was fantastic!

I?d like to keep it short so?. The wait for the table was a bit long. It seemed that they were seating people in front of us. When we sat down at the table the server was attentive and was very helpful. Got the Rib eye and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Ultimately I went there to try the steak, and I can say was not disappointed. I?d definitely recommend stopping by and trying out Salt grass.

We dined early, Parking was a problem and they said a 5 min wait while they set up a table for 8, It was more like 20 the place was almost empty and still had a parking problem. Wait staff was not familiar with menu items. We ordered coctails and we were pressured into ordering before we were ready some of the salads came before the cocktails. Some of the Salads came after the main course. unacceptable long wait for cold food. Servers could not even identify menu items. I didn't get what I ordered. 3 plates were unacceptable and had to be sent back. They included an 18% gratuity and service would not normally have gotten any gratuity from me. I am a good tipper for good service. Food was mediocre. I visited about 8 months ago and had basically the same results. This was the last time for me. I won't return. If you are going to charge that much for food, you should at least make an effort to provide commensurate service and quality. Bad Bad BAD. One Star is being generous. Are there any good Restaurants in San Antonio?

My husband and I had dinner at this location on Wed. night and it was Good. The hostess explained some of the menu options and then our waitress (her name was Courtni) explained the rest. I had a New York Strip and he had a filet mingon and they were pretty close to perfect. The salad was fresh and we were even offered extra chips to finish off our spinach dip app. I was pretty content with the house merlot as well. We absolutely do not mind spending $100.00 on dinner if it is done right. Now the only thing we hope to see is consistancy with this steakhouse....not many places can be good everytime we go. We will continue to dine here as long as the food and service is good.

I've been to several stake houses and I would say that this place is overly rated. I was there with my wife and she ordered a filet mignon and I ordered a Porterhouse steak. First I would say the service was terrible, since it was our first time, the waiter did not take the time to describe different items in the menu. But he did explain it to an old couple that left him 3 dollars as a tip ;-). The food took a long time to be served and I was done incorrectly. My wife ordered a medium well and she got it over done. I ordered medium and I got a cold stake. I complaint but the waiter but nothing was done. For the price I was expecting a better service. By the way the stakes also had no flavor. I highly DONOT RECOMMENT THIS PLACE!!!!
