Who protects the patients?? My son was admitted to the telemetry unit suffering with congestive heart failure, severe pulmonary hypertension, electrolyte imbalance, hypothermia. and a history of prior problems with sedation. Hospital allowed him to be taken for unnecessary procedure, sedated, which put him into cardiolpulmonary arrest and subsequently led to his death.



I told Dr.Michael Lindner that my son had prior problems w/sedation and I feared for his life. I told him I would stop the procedure which was scheduled for 3:00pm the next day. Hospital verified time as being correct. Dr. then changed the time to 6:30 am to prevent me from halting the procedure. I was never notified of the time change



The day BEFORE, my son was diagnosed with right-sided heart failure and WAS NOT suffering from gastrointestinal problems. Medications were suggested & a treatment plan was set out. All this was disregarded and an endoscopy was performed - this procedure resulted in my son's death. A BIG STANDARD OF CARE ISSUE for all concerned.

I live in California, my elderly mother lives in Texas. She was admitted to the hospital and I have not been able to get anyone to answer the main line much less find out how my mother is doing.

Excellent hospital and doctors. Very caring staff and doctors. They take time to answer questions. They care about their patients.
