I'm sure the public would like to know your response.

There are many Religions, Cultures / Ethnic groups that would like to be clear on your policy that I encountered today...with still no real response other than your District manager and Delivery drivers that stated they COULD NOT and WOULD NOT remove their shoes NOR, consider even putting on booties (covers the shoe), to enter OUR home and deliver the products we paid for.

I'm really disappointed with RTG, our sales person was really nice and took care of our order and explained everything. We had our furniture delivered Friday on time, but I didn't notice that the delivery guys had put the trash in our personal trash can outside. Our trash pick up was that same day and they had already come by, so when I called RTG to explain to them that my trash was full and that I have nowhere to put my own trash, mind you, we are a family of 7, RTG said it can take 3-5 business days to pick up. I just think its poor customer service. One spends thousands of dollars at this place and once you sign for your order they could care less. All these positive reviews shows that the delivery people know what is expected of them and that using ones personal property is not one of them. We paid $100 for delivery not trash.

I wish I had read the reviews ...

I wish I had read the reviews on YP.com prior to making a purchase at Rooms-To-Go. I would have saved myself many headaches and heartbreaks. The quality of the furniture I was delivered is sub-standard. The delivery personnel said I would have to address any issues with customer service so I signed accepting that they had delivered the furniture. I immediately contacted the customer service department. The person was rude so I stated that I would be returning the furniture. She informed me I could not, because I signed a contract (it was fine print on the back of one of those electronic signature pads). After speaking to a Supervisor and following his request, I sent the pictures of the flaws to Rooms-To-Go never to hear from them again. I will never do business with this company again. Unfortunately every time I look at the furniture, it is constant reminder.



Just wanted to add an update...They had an individual respond to many of the negative reviews apologizing for the problems and requested we contact her via email to resolve issues. (Sounded good!) She confirmed that she had received the emails with pics documenting the problems. Wo weeks have elapsed and again, no further response.



DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

AWFUL COMPANY! My boyfriend just purchased new bedroom furniture from RTG. On the day of delivery, January 19th, I had been asleep in his bed with my brand new IPhone under the pillow...where I sleep with it every night. I hopped up to go get breakfast knowing they'd be in there for a bit and I needed to get out of the way. As I walked outside the drivers were bickering back and forth and cussing at each other. Extremely unprofessional!! I got to the gate of the property and dug in my purse realizing my phone had been left under the pillow. Knowing I'd be right back, I kept going. Just 30 mins later when I got back we searched his whole room and called the phone over and over which had already been turned off. We then made a police report and now almost 2 months later NOTHING has been done. We call Rooms To Go local office and corporate everyday and they give us the run around. My entire house is furnished with Rooms To Go and so is my boyfriend's and I would just like to let everyone know that unless you want your stuff stolen do not have them deliver your new furniture! This place is ridiculous and very unprofessional.

6 weeks since our order and still no bed

I should have checked the reviews on this site before we spent $1400 on a bedroom suite at RTG-Kids. We ordered it on January 28th, 2010 and our not so helpful salesperson, Bert, told us that it could be delivered that week. When they called to set up the delivery, they said the bed was on "back order" and we'd need to wait until Feb 5th for delivery. They called back on Feb 4th and now the bed will not be here until March 10th.



The slogan on their website "Delivery in days, not months" is spectacularly false advertising. The customer service department (1-800-766-6786) is not helpful and we actually got more than one excuse at why we still do not have a bed. The first excuse was because the bed didn't make it on to the truck. The second excuse is that the furniture manufacturer is behind in making them. They only offered $50 store credit for the inconvenience of not having our furniture. We asked for the shipping fee of $100 to be refunded and they refused. We did not take them up on their offer for store credit, since we will not be returning to RTG ever again.



RTG, please set your customer's expectation at the point of purchase to avoid negative reviews.

I ordered a new bed frame and mattress and bunkey board and was given a delivery date. The gentleman setup the bed frame but put the old mattress and box spring on top of the new frame. Keeping the mattress and bunkey board in the plastic he left it aside. Upon giving me the paperwork to sign I noticed there was a bunkey board missing along with the mattress and he said "let me go and get it." He wen't to the truck and brought everything up. Upon ordering the bed I requested the old mattress and box spring to be taken out of the apartment back to the warehouse. However, in confirming that they were supposed to take the box spring and mattress i was told by the delivery man "not that i'm aware of." As soon as they left I called customer care and they said asked "what reason did they give u?" I gave them the reason i was given and placed me on hold and contacted the driver, the lady got back on my line and told me that they would be back to pick it up. I again called customer care later who unfortunately closes at 5 and was not able to get further assistance. I called the store itself and spoke to the manager on duty who told me he couldn't get ahold of customer service either which didn't help me at all.

Similar issues with Rooms to Go

We purchased a dinette set from Rooms to Go a few months ago and had trouble with the quality of the merchandise from the very start. The guys that delivered the table and chairs; my wife and I carefully inspected everything and found there was a missing hardware kit and one of the legs was scratched. Before signing any delivery slip - we had the delivery guys call in the deficiency to the store, and had the store order another table with the necessary parts. Ten days later, after having the disassembled (oringinal) table on our dinning room floor, the delivery guys came back and finished assembling the table, much to our delight.



On another note, we also purchased a mirror for our living room from Rooms to go, and could not pick-up the mirror to take home until our check cleared. Needless to say we felt like third class citizens, and doubt if they will see our faces again.

Bedroom set

I understand how you feel I had exactly the same problem with a living room set I bought. The cushions turn flat within a month. A technician came to my house and said he saw the problem and then went back saying there was nothing run with my sofa, that it was normal wear. I can understand normal wear if I sat on it 24/7 for a whole month which is the same thing the technician said, but I hardly ever sat on it because I was never home. A second technician came over said he saw the problem and when reporting to Rooms to Go they said there was nothing wrong with it. I WILL never buy anything from them. Expensive furniture and cheap quality.

Defective Bedroom

We purchased a bedroom set back in 2006 and paid about $2700.00. We noticed that the head and foot boards were slowly starting to buckle inwards, and we discovered that the metal brackets at the end of the wood railings were coming out. We called customer service, but only got the run around. This was done so the warranty had ended. I finally got them to send out a "Technician" but he said that there was no manufactures defect, that we moved the bed and caused the problem. However there is a defect, as the headboard has no support for the wood railings to hook onto. The delivery and setup people should have known this, the so called "Technician" should have known this, and they propably did. Now, we are sleeping on the floor. My wife was battling breast cancer (she won) and I'm a disabled Vietnam Veteran. All we had ask for is an exchange, that money was not an issue, but all we get is a slap in the fact and a brick wall. This company does not get it, we are not going away. If you are going to purchase furniture from this company (I do NOT recommend) please check it very good. It is NOT American made.
