In addition, Dr. Atkins has contributed to the educational benefit of medical students by acting as a Clinical Instructor at the Brooke Army Medical Center from 1999-2003, Kyphoplasty Training in 2005, Intradiscal Electrotherapy, and an International Course for Minimally Invasive Surgery. He is presently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, as well as a Minimal Access Technology instructor in Memphis. Furthermore, Dr. Atkins has received numerous Special Training Certifications including Percutaneous Electrothermal Treatment of Diagnostic Pain, Gamma, Knife Surgery, and Kyphone Inflatable Bone Tamp Technology, as well as several Clinical Course Certifications. Dr. Donald Atkins has been featured in two publications and provided multiple medical presentations for the medical society.

Dr. Arnold Vardiman, M.D. is a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon, accredited by the American Board of Neurosurgery. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Mary’s University in 1985, Dr. Vardiman attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, receiving his Doctor of Medicine in 1989. Dr. Vardiman later completed a one-year general surgery internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, followed by a five-year Neurological Surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
