Well for starters, I think the instructor was very helpful and friendly as was Mr. Felix. That quickly wore off after I paid for 30+ lessons in cash. Funny thing is, I arrange to pay for services in two pmts of $450 each, two weeks apart. I was called every week to confirm appt by dance instructor Barbara for only the first five lessons. After that I didnt recieve much encouragement to continue the lessons. In fact, no encouragement at all. I am not a dance teacher or student, I'm a professional who was interested in learning how to dance. I too was interested in western/country, salsa but was taught a lot of slow dancing music that is probably from the 40s. So naturally, this place did feel like once you paid, they were paid, and did not care much for encouragement, as I clearly needed. If you were learning how to play baseball, you would need a lot of coaching and if the coach gave up on you after a few practies you would give up easily. Needless to say I did ask for a refund for the unused dance lessons I paid for up front. Mr. Felix was very rude and said he has a no refund policy. He said he had been inthe business for 51 years and sometimes he would have upset people/ and customers he could afford to lose because ""he gets too much business."" I mean this guy actually told me that I could sell my unused dance lessons. Imagine that? Customer service at its finest, LOL, but that's what I get for ignoring reviews and not looking around.

We took advantage of the famous ""two-for-one"" deal, hawked by the owner, Mr. Felix. When we arrived at the ""dance studio"", we were immediately greeted by two things; the stale smell of a Junior High locker room and a rediculously small room, (the size of my dining room) with tacky purple and green walls. A man and his daughter were waiting ahead of us and they politely told us that they were waiting for some information on lessons, so a young man who was already instructing a couple, came over and had us sign in.\r \r When our instructor Art came from the back office, he completed the formalities and we went to the dance floor. Keep in mind the floor may have been 30' x 30'! We told him that we wanted to work on our two-step, so off we went, dancing around to the sounds of Salsa music! For the 30 minutes or so that we attempted to C&W dance to the blarring of salsa music coming out of a kid's boom box, we didn't pick up much.\r \r Finally, we had enough and I went to talk to the owner, Mr. Felix. I explained that this was not what we had expected and he began to patronize me by basically telling me that I didn/t know how lucky I was to be instructed by the same school that taught Henry Cisneros to dance! Really?\r \r I asked for a refund and he refused. Bottom line - BUYER BEWARE! This bunch are shysters and will mis-lead you. DON'T SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL YOU READ THE FINE PRINT AND GET USED TO THE SMELL OF THE MINI-DANCE SCHOOL!

We recently enrolled on lessons to learn salsa, swing, tejano and TANGO. Think we'll maybe go back and take some more ande be more advanced
My wife Mie and I took dance lessons from Cathy at River City Dance Studios. I'm kind of a slow learner, but Cathy was very patient, and even though she wasn't obligated, she would often continue the dance lesson into "overtime" if I was just about to get something but needed to practice a few more times. We really enjoyed it! -Frank H.

Dance lesson was good, but the ""hard sell"" afterwards to buy a package made us feel like we'd visited a used car dealership.
