Being a local golfer, I play many of the courses in the SA area and am very familiar with The Quarry. I always feel my money is well spent because of the great year round course conditions and friendly staff. They recently introduced 10 minute tee times, which I don't believe I've seen anywhere else in the city, not even La Cantera. This creates a wonderful pace of play and a sense of relaxation that you'll be don... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse

The event: Bachelor party weekend...The highlight:The Quarry Golf Club!!\r This place is unbelievable to say the least. We played at 830 on a Saturday, and played in 4 hours and 10 minutes! The course was in awesome shape, staff was very welcoming-even inviting us in for a round at their bar after our round! Nice touch, and best food we've ever had at a golf course-hands down! Service is top notch, like a privat... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
When I went to the Quarry for the first time, what really caught my eye was the beautiful scenery and the layout of the course. The course also proved to be a perfect balance of challenge and leisure. I was very intrigued by the courses ability to prove that good quality can be affordable. My son and I spent a great weekend out there and we still talk about how wonderful it was. It was an incredible experience and... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
Played jan 2004: Course was in great shape, but overall I was disappointed. There are only about 4 or 5 holes on the back nine that really stand out. Regular green fees are outrageous, but they have some good specials. Didn't catch his name, but the starter was great. His one liners made me laugh. Although it's a good course, there are better courses for the money. Was this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
Although the Quarry involves natural beauty along with a nice design, La Cantera is a much better course in the San Antonio area. The value is better at the Quarry however. If I had my pick between the two, my personal pick would be La Cantera Resort Course hands down. Was this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
