Having been a patient of Calderon's for 14 months, and at first I had an issue was with the office staff; however, it was proven to me that urgent patient issues causing me to drive to the office a few hours earlier than appointed for help means nothing to this provider. I was also in need of paperwork to be filled out for my military records only to be told there was a $35 fee and it was the first I heard of it since initiating the email three months prior and again three days ago since there was no reply the first time. I paid the $90 cancellation fee which was the best I have ever spent $90 on in recent times, left the clinic and made it clear I would not return. Voiced my concern to Tricare complaint department, Joint Commission and HIPPA for lack of privacy for this morning's discussion in the lobby with patients. Today's encounter with just the front desk staff and interim office manager was nothing short of humiliating, exasperating, profit-driven and a complete lack of disregard for my well-being and this is a mental health provider I am talking about. It is the most humiliating experience I have ever had with a medical provider. I come from a patient care background of over 20 years, am a Veteran, an Active Duty military wife of a deployed husband and this is how they treat their customers. I am taking my business elsewhere where I will be respected and listened to. If you value the level of care you will receive, the timeliness of messages being conveyed and being treated with dignity, then please look elsewhere. You won't find it here. My husband's first impression of him on our first appt was less than desirable but I had been searching for a new BH specialist for four months and wanted to give this office the benefit of the doubt, but I will listen to my husband's intuition.
