We drive more than 30 miles (one way) every Sunday to attend this church. Why? Because it's the best church we can find in the SA area. Yes, it's very big. Yes, you can probably drift in and out without being noticed. But if you hang around awhile, join a class, involve yourself in ministry or growth, you'll find the church is full of sincere Christians. My husband and I enjoy the Biblical, Christ-centered serm... view more

Church Reviews

There are a few good churches out there. I'd like to comment on two that I believe in. First is Calvary Chapel off Pat Booker Rd. and the second is the Hard Rock Church near Ingram Mall. If going to a church that doesn't water down their gospel appeals to you, then you'll drive 20 miles to attend. calvarysa dotcom / hardrockchurch dotcom

Very Dispoint

I have been this church for 2 and half years. I feel no one care us and some people are very rude.

The ""church"" is me

Oak Hills (I go to the Crownridge campus) is a big church. When I first went there about 6 years ago, I was a very ""young"" Christian. I went with a pretty typical attitude: ""What can this church do for me? How will it meet my needs?"" At the time, I was praying a lot for God to teach me what He wanted me to know, and to show me what He wanted me to do. Well, one of the first things He taught me was that ... view more

Try it out for yourself...

This church is probably been the biggest disappointment I've had this year. My husband and I, along with our daughter have been going for 4 months now and not only has nobody spoken to us, every time we try to get ""plugged in"" no one will return our calls or e-mails. We've finally given up. My husband and I both went to bible college for worship leading but it's nearly impossible to get an audition for the team... view more

What Would Jesus Do?

Years ago when this church was small, they helped me in a desperate time of need.I wasn't a member either. They paid my rent so my kids and I weren't on the street. Even though I was unable to pay them back, I knew God would bless them for giving a lending hand. He did, they grew into a large church. My daughter, a single mom ended up in a desperate situation the other day. I told her there was a church that would he... view more

Very welcoming & diverse congregation w/many programs

This is now just ""Oak Hills Church"" to make more folks feel welcome. I have not noticed any implied dress code. Folks arrive in shorts and polos and even flip-flops on Sunday mornings. Recommend arriving early as seats fill up fast. Ushers will help you find a place to sit regardless of arrival time. Great teen & singles programs; many get-togethers, Bible studies and mission/camp trips available. Counseling a... view more
