I have been bringing my dog to Northern Oaks for about two years now. I am very pleased with the amount of care he recieves when i bring him in. All of the assistants and receptionists are so happy to see him. Whenever i have a concern or question, all three of the doctors are quick to reassure me in whatever the situation may be. Most of the time it turns out to just be me being a paranoid pet owner, which brings me... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag Abuse

My family has been going there for 20+ years ever since we got our first family pet. about 20 years ago. My best friend and their family goes there for a fair amount of time. I just got done spending over $560.00 on an exam routine shots and one xray that took less than an hour. I have been to the EMERGENCY clinic for basically the same but more intense exam and paid only $380.00 and change. Plus I spent another $40... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
As soon as I met Dr. Rebekah Byrd I new my dog was in extremely capable hands. She was professorial, personable and very knowledgeable.
I feel my pet has received the best care an owner could ask for!!
Dr. Byrd was time efficient while also taking the time to answer all my questions (I did not know there were DVM that still did that-- but she does!) so when you leave you feel very comfortable in understanding t... view more
The staff and doctors are thorough, competent, and extremely caring. The concern they show for my pet and my family is extraordinary. It is also very clean and never has an animal odor. They always have pets for adoption that have been fixed and vaccinated. The doctors have stayed after hours before to treat my dog and I know we are always in the best of hands. The groomer is also exceptional. She is very detail or... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag Abuse
This is a place where I know ALL of my pets are loved. They are not ""cat people"" or ""dog people"" but everything people! Very professional and I know all of my babies are in good hands. I always get a call from the doctor to keep me up to date on whichever one of my animals are there and they have always been fair and extremely knowledgeable and kind. The techs are also friendly and the front staff knows me and... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
After reading a few of the reviews I felt I was obligated to voice my own opinion on this clinic. I have been in there many times with my dogs and cat. The front staff is always very sweet and friendly. The techs were very caring and gentle with my pets, I've never felt they were unqualified. The prices are the usual for any vet clinic in town; unless your talking about the low cost clinics or shelter programs. ... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag Abuse
We had taken our little dog. It was runned over that evening and I didn't know what to do. I called for help on my poor little dog passing away. They asked me to come in and they would take care of everything. I did and said my farewells. Later, that following week I recieved the most wonderfull, precious thing the ashes of my Bonnie. I was so, blessed with an ornament, picture (guess the one they had from her... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
The office staff is not helpful, their techs don't seem to know what they are doing, they are VERY expensive and their animal health exams are short and incomplete. There are ALOT of other vet clinics in this area to go to. Avoid this clinic if you love your pet. They are also not supportive of local rescue organizations. Dr Byrd is the only bright spot in this clinic.Like this review?Yes|Flag Abuse
I have to agree with the other reviewers that they are expensive(like four times the usual price at other clincis!) and have short hours. The man problem is that their techs are inexperienced, the office is run poorly and their routine health exams are too short and incomplete. If you love your pet, you will go elsewhere!!Like this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
I've done some price shopping because I have multiple pets & Northern Oaks is a bit more expensive than most... BUT the customer service and loving care you receive is unbeatable. We, too, had to put a couple of our dogs down in the past few years. The doctors and staff were very empathetic and helped us through the process and even let us stay in the room during the final moments and then afterwards as long as we w... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
