The staff at my Castle Dental ...

The staff at my Castle Dental location is professional, caring, helpful, and always very friendly. I love Castle Dental! I recommend whenever I can. I actually lived in San Angelo, Texas when I had my braces installed. I did not want them installed in San Angelo. The office was very flexible with my challenge. This office should be praised for the amazing professionalism! Kudos to Castle Dental

Overall
not impressed

The exam rooms seemed dirty, the metal parts on the chair I sat in had rust, and the exams rooms are not private. You are essentially in one big room with dividers between the patients. You can hear everything that is going on with the other patients. Oh and lastly, the dentist told me I had 5 cavities that needed filling. I'm 40 and I've only had 3 cavities in my entire life and now all the sudden I have 5? BS! They are just trying to milk my insurance. Not going back.

Overall
Totally agree

First of all the place is in a strip mall next to a video store. I went to this place after being set up by my new insurance company. I'm going back to my old dentist even if she is out of network and I have to pay more. The dentist was ok and the hygenist was nice although she didn't say one word to me other than hello. The front desk personnel were somewhat unprofessional. Between the sometimes "Springer like" content or the volume of the conversation, it was very unprofessional. Also a huge pet peeve of mine among office or store workers. I'm fine with people speaking a different language when dealing with people that don't speak English, but I HATE when I'm in a professional setting and workers go back and forth from English to Spanish. I think it's unprofessional with people around and can be miscontrued as rude.

That said, here are things that can be done to improve the place.

1. Clean the place. The baseboard were all scuffed up and the ceiling had water stains.

2. Remodel. I don't want to hear the person next to me talk about how she's never been to a dentist or how bad her kids are.

3. Change the form you give to new customers. It looks cheap and it asks redundant questions, unneeded questions and information that can be looked up by staff.

3. Computerize or improve your process. I waited 40 min. after x rays were taken to see the dentist. Then I had to wait 30 min after my cleaning To PAY because the paperwork is done manually or at least seemed like it.

4. Replace the 26" Magnavox tvs with flat screens and bring them down lower than 20 feet off the ground. Oh, and if you have them on, turn them up.

5. Have the front desk clerks take office manners class. I came in twice and I was greeted with, "Do you have an appointment?" and "Can I help you?" I expect that at McDonalds. Also, thank you or goodbye before leaving would be nice.
