I went here for lunch on a weekday. I had the daily lunch special. It was a good deal.
The pizza was good especially the crust. The customer service was good.
I will go back.
SO GOOD!!!! This was the best pizza I've had in a LONG time. I love the crust...thin but not too thin. Great sauce and perfect amount of toppings! And the garlic knots are DELICIOUS! Garlicy goodness. The place is small so for lunch you should get there early. I will definitely be back!

The place was recommended to me by my brother, I am new in town and figured I would try it out. I ordered take out 2 pizzas. They said there was a special for $12.99 1 large pizza and a free topping. I called and ordered 2. One extra cheese and one sausage... I get there and the rude counter person tells me it will be $31. I asked how did it come to that amount? She said extra cheese is not a topping and they charged me $3 for it. I said why didnt someone tell me that when I placed the order? She said she assumed I knew that. I said well I have never been there and I didn't know that. She looked at me and rolled her eyes and said well now you do, I kindly asked for my debit card back and walked out. The pizza looked great, but the service was so poor I left without it. Very VERY disappointed... I will not return..

My nephew and I visited Miss Ellie's Pizza this evening. Everything was wonderful from the service, cleanliness and food. We have been searching for good pizza and it is well worth the drive from Stone Oak. \r \r Of all of the pizzas places we have tried since being in San Antonio Miss Ellie's is the best in our book!! Could not have asked for better service. (very friendly and courteous. We definitely will be going again and trying other items on the menu as well.

One of the two best Pizza Places in San Antonio. Great service and great food.

This is the best pizza in San Antonio or South Texas for that matter. My husband is from N.Y. and he says this is the only pizza that can take him back to those original pizza places in N.Y. and if you listen to some of the customer speak you would think that you're in N.Y. The N.Y. accent is always there. The ingredients are always fresh the sauce is homemade and the crust is to die for. If I can get my Yankee to drive over 45 miles EVERY weekend to eat here it's gotta be good.

If you want the BEST pizza in the San Antonio area, go to Frazo's on I10 near Boerne Stage Road--great ambience withTRUE New York thin crust and plating of pizza, AND interesting toppings. Miss Ellie's is a little better than Pizza Hut but average overall.

Excellent pizza, probably the best I've found in San Antonio. That's not saying much because generally pizza in this town is pretty bad, but I did make excellent NY pizza in many places as a kid and this sauce is very good. Try it - good pizza!

In one word, ""Phenomenal!"" Everything in the restaurant is homemade from the dough to the sauces and all the toppings are always fresh! I've eaten pizza in many states including New York but this place is my absolute favorite! Not only to they have great food, but the customer service is personal and very friendly! The owners take great pride in the quality of their food and every pizza is hand-tossed to perfection! I live in San Diego but travel to San Antonio a few times a year and make it a point to stop by Miss Ellie's EVERY trip! I can't get pizza like that anywhere in California!
One of the closest to New York in San Antonio.

Just discovered this place a few weeks back. It looks like a homespun Domino's, having a small dining area and appearing mostly as a takeout place. But the pizza is to die for. You can buy a whole pie or by the slice. The staff is very friendly and efficient -- even when crowded I'm in and out quickly. Just thinking about this place makes me hungry. You can't go wrong with Ms. Ellies Pizza.

One word....AWESOME!!!! Clearly one of the best NY style pizza's I've ever had...my wife and kid love it too....ever since we started going there we don't order pizza from any other place....the staff is warm and friendly and make you feel right at home....just like a family place....given a choice I would give them more than 5 stars!!!!!

The pizza crust has a very good taste, you'll eat every bit of your pizza slice. The homemade tomato sauce and meatballs are perfectly seasoned and flavorful. Yum, also on the garlic knots as you dip them into the tomato sauce. BTW: The owner is a master and his staff are nice and fun people to visit. You are always kindly welcomed.
The crust is right but the sauce tasted old and bland ~ only recognizable flavor was like something left in the fridge too long.. Sausage has no flavor. Mushrooms are from a can.

Wow! Can't believe the lack of customer relations. I simply called to order a pizza and asked a couple of questions while ordering .The following were the questions, ""Can you fax me a menu?"", ""Can I get thin crust?"", and ""Are the original owners still running the place?"". The answers were, ""No, we don't have a fax"" (they used to but she swore the didn't), ""Yes, its thin"", and ""Yes, they are the same owners"". Okay, I ordered the pizza. We were hanging up and I at the last second asked, ""How long?"" and then I heard her speak. ""That lady was just asking all these questions.""...she went on to repeat all of them to whom I am assuming was the manager by his voice. He did say they used to have a fax. After a minute of listening to her complaining about me asking questions I started telling her ""Hello, I am still here!"". She hung up. I called back and asked to talk to the manager and she said, ""Its that lady that just called"". The manager said he would talk to her...I cancelled my order and told him he should fire her. Now, I will just get dressed and get the best pizza in town....GOOMBAS!!! By the way. LITTLE ITALY also makes a fine pizza.

This is no run of the mill pizza place. This is fantastic New York syle pizza at its finest. This resturant would fit right in on a New York or New Jersey boardwalk. Try it!!

This is the best pizza in town, and I worked at pizza places growing up. My entire family loved the pizza, the spaghetti and the garlic knots. My youngest said the spaghetti was better than mine. I have been there five times in the past two weeks immediately following my first visit. THE LASAGNA IS ALSO THE BEST IN SAN ANTONIO! On your second visit, try the wings, and on your third visit try the spinach and tomato pizza. Everything on the menu is awesome.
