Pleasantly surprised.

We were a little hesistant to eat here, especially after our experience with other RiverWalk eateries.\r
However, we were seated promptly, the mango mojito was excellent. the waiter was very nice.\r
The crabcake sandwich was tasty, and my wife and I shared the Bananas Foster.\r
Overall, our best dining experience overall on the Riverwalk.

*** DO NOT DINE HERE**** FRAUD...

*** DO NOT DINE HERE**** FRAUD** me and my sister dined here and the following day found out the waitress who seemed to have taken forever to get our credit cards back to us had stolen out information and we became victims of credit card fraud!!!!... not only this but two waiters behind us were discussing the contest they were having about who sold the most specials of the day which was a lobster dish would get a day off!!!.. this place was a joke as far as a fine dining establishment....view more. they hire low class individuals who obviously have some sort of a criminal background.. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!view less

Ruined our evening

Wow, my husband and I were very disappointed after going to Landry's one Saturday for a late-night meal. The hostess lacked refinement, but it was OK. We sat down, waited for about 10 minutes, and our waiter came. He was the worst we have ever experienced! Fom his serving mamer, to his abruptness, to his lack of knowledge on how to handle food and pour drinks, it was just a spectacle. I couldn't believe we were receiving such treatment in a nice restaurant. We were stunned and wi...view morell obvisouly never go back. We complained to the manager who was very nice. There are just too many places to eat in San Antonio to waste our precious time on being treated so poorly. Oh, and my husband's salmon was burnt on the bottom and dry. We also got the wrong side dish. Embarassing!view less

Bad Customer service

Landy's is over priced for the quality of food and service, but the customer service from both the store and their corporate office left me with a new sense of humility. I once thought that even one person mattered and could be heard. I find that they are into policy and not people, and into custom and not customers. One of their managers took my credit card home by mistake and then was out of touch for two days while my vacation to San Antonio was being ruined. When I contacted the...view more corporate office I was put off and ignored until I was at the end of vacation and on a flight home. I was told that the restaurant was busy runnig a business and my problem was just an inconvience for me.\r
I now see that at least with Landry's and corporation, customers and people do not matter even when they ask for emergency help. The help they finally gave me was to offer to cancel my credit card for me, even when they had it in their hands and could have securely mailed it to me. \r
One customer does not matter to a corporation or a machine. One customer does not matter to Landry's or its people. I am sure that I do not, and I am sure that you do not as well.\r
You decide if this is the type of place to support or not.

WOW

I was in San Antonio this week, and ate at Landry's last night with some friends. This was BY FAR the best experience i had all week. The service was excellent. Let me tell you, the garlic bread is heavenly.....Everyone at the table absolutely loved their meals. It was GREAT. I will go back.

Landry's

We had several restaurants on our list to visit while in town, but Landrys was our favorite. The atmosphere was very nice, the menu provided a wide selection of cusine, and prices were reasonable for a tourist spot like the River Walk. Other restaurants that we visited on this trip were satisfactory, but none provide the overall enjoyable dining experience that we had at Landrys.

What a dump!!

My husband and i dined here twice. once we made the mistake of going out a weekend when a lot of christmas parties were going on and i think there were a couple going on in the restaurant that night even. So the first time we thought- we'll try it again another time. Oh well we were not changed on our opinions. The food is WAY over priced for quality...im laughing even using that word. The food is seriously awful here-both times we went. It does have great decor and feel to it. ...view more But both times our servers seemed like they were either new, or didnt know what was going on. Do not go here!! Actually the second time when we walked out, we saw 3 people (who we found out were tourists) looking at the menu and walked them to a better restaurant a few blocks away!!view less
