I don't want to be rude but this experience was rediculous. I am simply going to state the facts as they occured. First of all we waited 2 and 1/2 hours by the time our family saw any food. Second my daughters pizza was burned and our appetizers were cold. Third my husband got so tired of waiting for a drink he decided to go to the bar himself. Last but not least our forks were dirty and our actual meals didn't taste fresh. I think this restraunt needs major improvements. The manager did take 20$ off our bill for such terrible service but that doesn't mean our family will go back.
We went to Joe's on a Thursday and the waiter was some young guy who looked like Shaggy. We waited for our drink refills and waited for him to take our order 30 minutes after he brought our drinks. Worst of all, we were a party of more than 6 so he still got a 18% tip off our check.

We have eaten at Joe's Crab shack in a few of different states and as a bonafide Eastern Shore Blue Crab Foodee, expect quality and real freshness from any seafood restaurant. As a rule, I frequent gourmet food establishments around the world. . .but, I like Joe's and I do recommend them for casual get togethers, small parties and family dining if you like 'crab.' Its a fun, casual, ""shake the shack"" experience especially in the summer time. It definitely beats most well-known food chains and Joe's in San Antonio has a great location on the Riverwalk if you're new or visiting in the area. Unless you're really set on tex-mex, ribs & burgers. . .its a great change of pace to grab a cold beer, people watch and chow down on a crabpot for two!
Talk about a great patio! Even if seafood is not your thing, Happy hour can be a good time at Joe's. With $1.50 pints until seven. We go for the patio and beers in the evenings.
