Love this market! Gourmet food and great, helpful staff. As much as I really like Whole Foods market as well, the staff at Central Market are definitely more pleasant, really helpful and super professional. I like how they have themed events. Last time I went in there they had performances going on in their cafe area and all of the food samples were of the same theme. Their selection of wine and cheese is the best!

I ordered an orchid corsage for Mom's day and they gave me a wilted orchid. I was very upset, but they asked me what it was I wanted on the orchid and this one Florist Miranda jumped in and did exactly what I wanted and the colors were smashing! I loved it and the service. Great price, too. will go to Miranda at Floral dept. at HEB ON BASSE AND BROADWAY

I shop at central Market frequently. I always find the food fresh, specially the seafood, and meets... great people working there. \r \r The cooked food they must vary it or at least include a plate once a month for that day. But the food taste good,,, my husband is CRAZY with the chicken salad and the greek pasta!!!! \r \r Nice job guys,,, just a recommendation to vary a little bit the food!

I live in California, but have a child who attends college in Texas. Alex in the gift basket department, is absolutely incredible! I call him, and he assembles the greatest basket to make home seem a little closer to our child, who is stressed from finals or is sick with the flu! Since we are not there, having a little ""happy"" from home makes her distance from home a little easier. Thank you Alex for putting together a basket that says we care.

In a City of all one chain of Supermarkets, this is a breath of fresh air (even if it is owned by that one chain). The variety of groceries, alcohal, much much more makes this stand out from all the others. The service is good, and the environment laid back. But the secret here is the Dine-in luncheon area. The prices are a bit on the high side, but you definatly get what you pay for. Whether it be the made to order salads, to the myraid of full fledge dinner options, you can't go wrong. Furthermore, with a wide variety of Wine and Spirits (which must be comsumed elsewhere), this place is well worth the deteor

Aside from making me never want or need to cook again (their meatloaf, meat balls and salads put me to shame, even though I AM a good cook), I LOVE the free valet parking (no tipping accepted). Drop off your car (no need to drag the 4 year old through the hectic parking lot), shop 'till you drop, then hand the cashier your valet ticket - and -*poof!*, your car appears at the door near your cashier and your groceries are loaded in as you strap in the kiddies. As you drive off, serene for a moment, a friendly waves sends you on your way. I CAN'T resist the homemade tortillas, the DELICIOUS chocolate cookies and all of the other wild and wonderful goodies on the shelves. The produce is just the best. I wish that I lived closer - I would eat like a king and never cook again!

I live in Terrell Hills and shop at central Market frequently, only because it's convenient. If time allows I prefer to go to Whole Foods Market or even Sun Harvest. The prepared foods selection very rarely changes, and there are far too few vegetarian choices. The few that they do have (repeatedly) are full of oils and saturated fats. Even the supplement selection is substandard, and one can find a much better selection at Cost Plus. The grocery selection is much better, but still I don't see what all the fuss is about.
