Too much credit

1st time there with my family..TERRIBLE! They sat us by the kitchen. It smelled like a mildue towel! We didn't know who our waitress was cuz they had NO uniforms! Food was nasty! Gravy on the chicken fried steak was cold and gross tasting! All our meals were TERRIBLE! And to top it off- I have 2 girls- I didn't apprecaite the cooks talking about grabbing their "stuff" and who's was bigger!! Never going there AGAIN!

I came here for lunch with a large group…

I came here for lunch with a large group. I had the old fashion hamburger.

The burger was good.

Customer service was good.

The food came out fast.

Price was average.

It got a little crowded at the cashier line.

I will go back.

Overpriced

I paid nearly $7 for a sandwich on plain bread that did not come with chips. It's a plane-jane sandwhich that you can make for yourself at home. It isn't worth the price I paid, let alone, not come with chips. \r \r What kind of restaurant serves a $7 sandwich without chips? The waitress asked if I wanted fries, for an extra cost. What a rip off! I definitely won't be going back.

Them there are some GOOD enchiladas!!

Great place and friendly staff. Close to the Park and Kiddie Park. They have a small bar and specialize in the fried cuisine. Huge onion rings. Try the GTC enchiladas. Smothered in chili and cheese (onions optional).

Definitely have the fried apptizer basket!! The mushrooms, onion rings, zuchini.... hmhmhm~~ I always have the basket, and the chicken fried steak. The sides are homemade, you can tell. And the chicken fried steak was just good. Remember to tell your waiter the gravy on the side. Their gravy is homemade too. Serves might be a long wait, but everything worth it! The only thing was the parking. I almost always had to park somewhere around instead of thier own parking lots. Go early so at least you will not need to worry about the serving and the parking.

This is best Chicken Fried Steak in Texas! \r \r Also try, Fried Catfish and what yummie Fried Mushrooms. \r \r They have homemade food with large size steaks and plates. WOW, your missing out if you don't try our favorite place in town. Sunday noon is a rush time, but now that you know that and you want to eat at my favorite place in town, sneak out of church early! I have never had to wait over five min. for a seat. \r We have never had a problem with the wait or any of the girls that work here. \r \r By, the way, I needed the phone number for a to go order and read one of the reviews , noticed that some one got upset for the girl that waited on them did not speak much. I Never write reviews but, when I read this, I knew I had to stand up for my favorite place! Good Time Charlies is the Best food ever.\r \r Maybe she/he just broke up with the love of their life when that person was seated. We need to remember that people that wait on us when we go out to dine, are walking in a world just like us. Every one has problems from time to time. My suggestion to you, whom ever you are that wrote that review, slow down, relax and remember your only human and so are the people that help take our orders. \r \r Don't let this person that did not get much attention rob you from: ""The Best Chicken Fried Steak in Texas"". \r Just relax and enjoy the food! Its great. Its fresh. Its Yummie. \r We have always been treated very well, servered in a timely manner and always have had fresh, wonderful food each time we dine in or take a carry out. Ps: On carry out, they send you the same size and taste.\r YUMMMMIE !!!\r \r I have taken to eat with. Don't want strangers joining in on my conversation anyway. \r

Good Time Charlie's Bar & Cafe

My wife and I eat at this restaurant 1 Dec 08 around 1130am. The service unsat! The waitress didn't even smile once. At least at other restaurants the wait staff will talk to you. That is the last time I'll eat there. Thanks God this was my first time eating there.

I can no longer eat chicken fried steak at any other restaurant becuase it just doesn't compare to Good Time Charlie's. The cream gravy is the key.
